  Makes sense to me. He came out about the same time as the telecaster... 60 years ago, and he would have been around 18 or twenty when he started.

An aquaintence of mine here in the Shoals has been LR's band leader/ manager for the last 20 +/- years said that Richard called him and was just over the top about turning 80. He said he is the FIRST male in his family, that he's aware of, to reach that milestone...
