Warrior Forum Etequitte Question

I have a question about proper behavior in the Warrior forum.

I worked on just my signature for an entire day, and it's worked out pretty good.

Testing does work. (After reading that literally thousands of times, it finally sunk in)

Anyway, I'd like to use the search function and reply to posts that use keywords in my target niche. My goal is to try and get in front of people who are also using the search function on the forum. (I don't really know how many people are using it, though.)

Now if I'm adding value to older posts, and I'm replying in a way that's not disruptive to the normal flow of the forum (not posting to dozens of older posts per day), would that keep me under the radar of the moderators and not seen as forum spamming?

Thanks for you help, it's much appreciated.

The purpose for the forum is to engage in discussion with other members. If you are engaging in topical discussion in a way that adds to or supports the topic, then I doubt it matters how you choose which discussions to participate in.

That may perhaps be true in so far as small numbers of current/active/front-page threads are concerned, but I strongly suspect that "bumping any non-current threads" in order to make posts about a subject referred to in your own signature-file will very quickly come to the moderators' attention, and in an adverse way.

Alexa is spot on, OP. Dredging up old threads to get your siggy seen is a no-no. Not only will the mods catch on, but you'll get the community's ire up, as well.

Best bet: add your sig file and forget about. Post as you normally would.

Alexa and Dan, I am with you 100% on the issue of dredging up old threads. I see that sort of thing on other forum sites, too, and it immediately sets off alarm bells about the person posting. As the admin on another forum site, when that happens I will check out the person doing it and in most cases they are new to the forum and their profile looks suspicious. I will then deactivate their account and in some cases, depending on the age of the topic thread, will lock that thread from further comments.

So, the message to the OP here is be respectful in the Warrior Forum and be very careful how you apply that tactic because obviously it could get you in hot water.
