Memorable tombstone inscriptions

Many years ago, I was walking through a cemetery when I read the following inscription on someone's tombstone. I read it and for some strange reason, I never ever forgot it. This is the inscription that I want on my tombstone. The inscription read:

Remember friend, as you pass by,
How you are now, so once was I.
How I am now, one day you'll be,
Prepare yourself to follow me.

Have you read any memorable tombstone inscriptions lately?

    by a long-time IM'er.

(not yet set in stone) (pun, lol)

    "eMail Killed Me'

    "eMail Killed Me 2"

    • British Comedian Spike Milligan has his famous epitaph 'I told you I was ill' carved onto his headstone.

      Dan
  • I love that one Dan -

if you ever had conditions people can't see - like 'stomach trouble' or 'back pain' - they look at you like you are out of your mind (imagining it).

So yeah - I like that one = "I TOLD you I was ILL" (now do you believe me since I am dead?)

    hehehe
