Anyone know where I can get a list of the most thanked members for Warrior Forum? Is there a public listing of this information?

Thanks in advance

I don't believe there's any way of doing that.

Post content is generally what counts, but I appreciate you might have other reasons in mind.

      Terry,
      None that I'm aware of.
And none that I'm aware of, aside from chasing down the top 25 or so posters and looking at numbers. It gets weird when you think about the real numbers anyway. The thanks only count for posts after September 2008. That makes even ratios inaccurate...

      Why does this matter?

Also , as far as ratios, one can stop posting for a year and their thanks may overwhelm their number of posts because of that...also people thank for many reasons, sometimes its more like a wink or acknowledgment, by people just wanting to let you know they "got it". That could even refer to inside jokes as often as does to good content.

I don't think the thanks I've gotten are reflective of the quality of my post since I've contributed very little useful information here.

            Notice I thanked that post.

Sorry Tbird, I couldn't resist. The set up was too good.

Your title is a bit different than your post. I am not aware of a list-o-names as it were.

If you are willing to do some work this may help. Google search with quotes. Just copy and paste.

    site:warriorforum.com "thanked 8000..30000"

By the way, I think Alexa Smith is spanking us all in that department.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :p

Both the number of Thanks and the number of Posts are meaningless.

Shh... don't say that. I've got people working for me just to increase their thank count.

  • I would disagree that they are meaningless.

I thank posts that I am genuinely thankful for.

I don't think people 'give away thanks' haphazardly. I think it is a measure of 'reputation' much the same way 'feedback' is a measure of reputation on eBay. (sorry, I'm an eBay guy)

Although it seems that way sometimes, I don't just give thanks either. But even by that measure, all are different. Some would gve thanks for what I would remove it for, and vice versa.

We are all entitle to agree to disagree.
I give thanks to people for various reasons, but in the end they are meaningless.
As far as the number of posts, mine would be many times more that they number shown if they counted in all forums.
There was a time when I felt different, but times change,

It is definitely hard to track unless you knew someone from the admin and request for a list

You could get that data with VB.net, then export to a CSV file.

I was going to say what paul did. The numbers are meaningless but even if they did have value, they are skewed because the thank option was added late. ALSO, the number of posts is likely lower because some posts don't count, and you may get a lot of thanks in a thread and find they all disappear when a thread does.

There are so many reasons why they aren't valid, and perhaps none for why they are.
