Today, while checking my email, I notice one of those unobtrusive little headlines on Yahoo's home page:

"Best Big Cities To Find Affordable Rent"

It goes here: http://finance.yahoo.com/real-estate...ter%27s-Market

I guess that might help some people, but what about most people today? How about headlines like these:

Best Big Cities For Living In A Tent

Best Soup Kitchens In America

Best Charities To Ask For Free Food and Gas

Top 10 Cleanest Homeless Shelters

Best Food Banks For Families

Best Big City Day Labor Offices

Best Homeless Singles Dating Websites

Now that's information people can use!

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Honestly, Art, it was only partly tongue in cheek. I don't know how things are in Spain but by golly, things are pretty bad for a lot of people here in the U.S. and I know those types of headlines would get a lot of views.

But thanks for reminding me about my tongue...

If I already had the research done I'd slap up some fast websites!

Here in the US companies would rather kick the families into the street than reduce the outrageous mortgage by 1 or 2 hundred bucks a month.

Right, Kim, and doesn't that seem a bit short-sighted, not to mention cold-hearted? If I owned a home I was selling to someone and they had trouble keeping up with the mortgage, I'd prefer to bust it down a few hundred (even cut it in half if necessary) if it meant I could keep them in it.

The house would remain in good shape and I wouldn't have to worry about selling it again.

How the banks can make any money kicking people out and selling homes at foreclosure auctions is beyond me. No wonder they have to have bailout money to keep the doors open.

Hey, Mr. Hoffa! Good to see you again! You do know the feds have been looking for you, don't you? You must owe them back taxes or something.
