Do We Start Off As Athletes, Then Become Blobs?

I witnessed my 2-year-old jump up and grab the side of our kitchen counter which is above his height, use his feet to walk up the wall, then hoist himself over the counter. There is no way I could have managed a feat like that.

Lightweight. I'll never take you rock hunting with me. I'm afraid you'd probably die.

Humans are splitting into two separate species right now according to scientists - so I guess that turning into a blob is probably presently the most recognizable sign that someone's actually a representation of the lower species. :p

LOL, that's too funny to be offensive. You're scaling cliffs in your rock climbing expeditions? I almost die just thinking about steep and rocky mountains I climbed in the past -- definitely foolish and reckless the way I did it.

No scaling (maybe a few feet if I see something I want, but not intense verticle or ropes. I did ropes ONCE. Just far enough to rescue a kid that was about 10 down on a cliff ledge. People had come and got me to have my dog search, so I was part of the party, and the lightest member of the party, so I got the freaking rope. I survived on pride alone. I've never been so scared shitless in my life. I'll never do it again. Don't care who's where -I will never do it again.

I do however climb - as long as my dog can make it up and down, we go if we have to get up to get to what I want to find. I've been on all fours, but never, never go totally vertical - unless it's at an outcrop that isn't tall enough to live without breaking stuff to get what I want if I fall. There's still a lot out there that can get wildly intense at times besides height.
