  • Why do you want to buy an ACTUAL computer? They are HARD to buy and EXPENSIVE!

Microcomputers are easy to buy, rather cheap, etc.... That is what MOST get! I couldn't resist!

You will have to tell people the type of things you want to use it for, and where!

If it is at home, a desktop may cost less, be more expandable, etc... therwise, a notebook/netbook may be better, unless you won't need to type much, and want it LIGHT, and then a tablet is better.

Light work could use an ATOM, really complex stuff an i7. MOST people are fine with standard graphics, but games might need more.

    • Best Laptop around is a Toshiba Satellite, or most reliable, least amount of gripes online!

I have an i3, which l recently upgraded to 4 gig ram, which is enough for most dedicated app,s, (graphics, animations, etc).

You should get a good deal if you go for a Toshiba Laptop i3, Windows 7, since most have W8!

W7 is probably better than 8, and as said before you might get a better deal.

I think that a Notebook will drive you nuts, because of the tiny screen, W7 already has tiny text, and l think that a notebook will go flying through the window before long!

And a ipad eventhough impressive, has severe limitations, over a Laptop, so if you are using this for business online, a Laptop is your best option.

I have seen a ipad that folds up, exposing a real keyboard, but the costs are high! I think that Samsung has that one.

All up for cost, reliability and performance a Toshiba Laptop i3, with W7, is probably your cheapest option.

I have seen them with up to 500 gig hard disk for around $500 in AU, so a bit of research goes a long way!

      Good luck...

      Shane
