question on posting links in WF

I responded to a posted question that asked if I knew any of a particular type of service producer.

I didn't want to break any WF rules so I didn't post the providers link. Am I allowed to?

BTW, I spoke with the service provider and, consequently, they joined WF. Does that make a difference?

I want to make sure I participate in WF within any WF constraints.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi RB,

Usually it's ok to post links in response to a related question (which appears to be your case, based on what you've said above).

However, when posting links, do let readers know what -- if any -- relationship you have to the site / site owner. Just a little disclosure statement.

    For example:

-- domainxyz (this is my brother's site)

-- domainxyz (I use this service but don't have any other association)

    -- domainxyz (my friend's site)

-- domainxyz (I own this site)

    And so on.

    Hope that helps!

    Becky

Seems like great advice. I think I will take this with me on other forums!

      Thanks
