Im only 20 I wish I was born 15 years earlier so I could have ridden the money wave of the internet when it first began, because nowadays people are too scared to commit to a damn thing!

All thse scammers out here ruined IM, that is right if you are not successful with IM it is because of some scammer who ripped people off in the 90's (could have been anytime). Now nobody can do a damn thing because its so f'ing clogged with other people and then the rest of the space is filled with scammers, WHO SCARE OF CUSTOMERS!!!

THEY ARE DAMN NEAR TERRORIST!

I cant stand them all!!!!

NOT HARSH AT ALL - CYBER TERRORISM IS RAMPANT.

THANK YOUR TROLLS FOR DISRUPTING EMAIL WITH SPAM AND CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE THAT PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF BECAUSE OF ALL THE SCAMS.

THANK YOUR TWO-FACED CON ARTISTS FOR BETRAYING PEOPLE'S TRUST IN THE MOST CRUEL WAY.

NOT HARSH AT ALL AND NOT HARSH ENOUGH - IT WOULD BE JUSTICE IF THEY WERE IN JAIL WITH THE REGULAR THIEVES AND MUGGERS. UNFORTUNATELY THEY ARE TREATED LIKE 'WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS' AND MAY GET A SLAP ON THE WRIST.

I HOPE THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL WHERE IT IS EXTRA CRISPY.

AND NO I AM NOT ANGRY. YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR ME WHEN I AM ANGRY. LOLOLOL

I've been on the Internet several years now in the IM scheme. I have met scammers, but not too many, (fortunately). I find some people who have swelled heads and cannot be bothered talking to the "little people". I find some people who do not know how to conduct business--do not do the right thing for their customers--and I've found people who make you think they're successful, but are really not.

When I run into a person who does the wrong thing towards me, I contact government agencies, the Better Business Bureau, make a web site reviewing the person and/or program, post on forums, do blogging, visit review sites, complain to PayPal, (which rarely helps), and whatever else I can think of.

I do my best before I make a purchase to find out if the person is legit. Sometimes I as well as many other people are fooled. After I am wronged, I email the person to try to have the right thing done. I contact others for assistance in resolving the situation. I do my best not to ruin a person's reputation as I like to give the benefit of the doubt to everyone. It is only in extreme cases I need to resort to the tactics I mentioned.

Once I purchased something from a well-known person on this forum. When I received no response and everyone else was complaining, I filed a complaint with PayPal. The person immediately responded. Turns out he was very sick with the flu and could not do any business. He apologized and everyone got their product.

I still do business with this person today. He had a good excuse, did respond, and did the right thing.

However, because of the last person who is doing the wrong thing, I am buying less from IM people, cancelling subscriptions from some people--just to recoup a loss, and therefore everyone will suffer as a result of one bad marketer.

    It's unfortunate.

Don't give up and lump one or two bad people into a "group" thing. It's like being bullied by a kid named Butch in grade school and thus not liking anyone named Butch thereafter, or meeting someone from a particular "ethnic" group who smelled and then saying, "I don't like those people. They smell." Everyone is an individual. Take it one person at a time.

    Hope I'm making sense.

15 years from now, someone will regret they were not born earlier to take on the "recession" opportunity.

Will you be in the same boat?

What Hoffa said is true. While scammers still remain on the internet, more and more people are buying things online. Just look at the birth of Black Monday. This didn't even exist 10 or 15 yrs ago because not enough people were shopping online.

There is still plenty of money to be made online. Don't let scammers get the best of you and cause you to give up.

Always remember that the same rule of thumb applies to the online world as much as it does to the offline world--

If it's too good to be true...

knowledge is power, and i think more often than not, victims of scammers are the ones without the right knowledge, while scammers abuse that knowledge
