In the recent past, I could delete an silly threads I may have started during times my brain serotonin levels or whatever weren't high enough for my brain to function properly. Sadly, I won't be able to delete this silly thread either.

I think you can delete your thread as long as someone else hasn't posted.

    Ah.

Even when they have posted you can delete or close the thread.

To delete a thread go to "Edit" under your post, once it opens you will see this two options on the top page "Do not delete message", "delete message", choose anyone that suits you.

To close a thread see the bottom of your post for "close thread", you can only do this to threads you started.

I don't see any "Do not delete message", "delete message", or "close thread" anywhere on mine.

I believe we can only delete our replies but not thread starters, even threads that have no responses.

      No, sir. Neither.

Only official moderators can close threads, and you can no longer delete a thread you've started once there's been a reply. That's just the way it is.

I may be wrong, but I think you can delete it before there's a response, T-bird? Go to "edit", then "delete", then check the lower of the two buttons in the little box-extension that opens, and then click "delete this thread" (bottom right).

If we see a stream of really pointless threads from TB suddenly, we'll know he's trying to figure it out.

If someone posts to a thread before you figure it out, just edit your OP and say something outrageous that pertains to what the person just said. I've seen trolls do that in threads that are heavy hitting discussions when they see that they look silly after someone else has a more factual or logical response.

I don't think anyone will sue him if he tries it out with a post in the "test" forum?

Don't encourage them! I'm fed up with people editing their posts after I've replied to them. :p

If you want to increase your serotonin levels, let me suggest 5-HTP. Walmart. 10 bucks.

Shhh! The pharmaceutical industry doesn't want that masses to know about that (though they take it themselves).

It is now my life's goal to jump into any TB thread and make a post before he can delete it.

(Yeah, I have low personal expectations.)
