Review: "Silver Linings Playbook"

I found the movie, "Sliver Linings Playbook" to be kind of contrived but pretty good. The acting was very good but not necessarily the most challenging kind of role and range of emotions in my opinion. Oscar worthy? Sure, why not. Lots of performances that won actors/actresses Academy awards in the past didn't actually knock my socks off either. WARNING: It may feel like a stage play to some viewers.

    I watched it the other night and loved it. It could almost be categorized as a romantic comedy... without the shmaltz, cheesy, Hugh Grant type bullshit.

    Very good acting and had me in stitches at times. Oh, and Jennifer Lawrence had me slobbering all over my keyboard!

      Good point. It was refreshingly raw, not garnished with schmaltz so many romantic comedies are.
