Lol, at the end of the video the North Koreans woke up the homeless American to give him some North Korean coffee. They flew half way around the world to deliver a cup of coffee.

Reminds me of an old video that would have been shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000, where they do the funny narrations.

I have personally seen over a half dozen birds killed! Almost all were because of CATS!

I don't think I have EVER seen a poor person eating a bird in such a manor. we tend to eat the larger birds, from about a chicken on up. Most are NOT generally in the wild in most places. Chicken, Turkey, and Ducks are probably the most popular birds, and probably in that order.

Well, I DID SAY PROBABLY and MOST. I would think pheasant is likely less popular than duck. Try getting pheasant in most restaurants! ALMOST ALL have chicken! Fewer have turkey. FAR fewer have duck. I imagine fewer still have pheasant.

I have NEVER heard of ANYONE eating a seagull or pigeon! And they probably aren't that likely for cats either. Who knows, maybe they do. During bad weather, some seagulls come far inland. Pigeons are in a lot of areas.

I meant in the US! NO, PIGEONS are mice/rats with wings! In the US, they are considered EXACTLY like that! If you make a mess, with fries, bread, etc... at any outside place ANYWHERE near a pigeon coop, pigeons will come to pick it up! SERIOUSLY!

YOU did NOT say they were the most popular ***birds*** for EATING! Learn how to WRITE!

And seagulls only come "far inland during bad weather"? We have seagulls here in Colorado all the time. Go to any dump.

BTW, seagulls and pidgeons are two species of animal whose numbers have risen along with humans.

From your quote of my statement....

I later referred to restaurants selling them.

As for the seagulls? I haven't been to a dump in like 40 years, and was speaking from my experience and what I have seen. OK, I guess it would be interesting to see.

As for how they have "risen"? I wasn't making ANY claims about that.

I guess the Americans must be filthy rich! IMAGINE the effort to design a plane that can move snow from winter places, to summer places. HOW do they do that? And how do they make hot snow? And I wonder what Korean coffee tastes like.

And those TENTS look fancy! HERE, we don't have freestanding tents like that. HOW can the wooden cielings be falling down in a TENT!?!?!?!?

And Gabby Giffords husband bought an AR15!(TRUE) YIKES! I guess he wants to kill their family.(J/K) They could have used REAL footage there and used REAL US propaganda to support it. INTERESTING!

And toll phones may not work because they figure everyone has a cell phone. Birds aren't so prevalent in Winter. Wait until SPRING! They will all be bashing their heads against the glass. (TRUE) Trying to commit suicide.(What I think the koreans might say about it). Or they will walk on the ground constantly CHIRPING.(TRUE) For a loved one that will no longer come, because she was eaten.(NK impression).

And they didn't show all the fountains with discarded coins, and fish missing(, because they have been eaten. J/K).

And I love how they say that the ARC gives us donations ONLY from NK. Do we get ANYTHING from them?

I wasn't suggesting propaganda. THIS video, on the USA, is clearly propaganda. It says the US is a country that used to be OPULENT and about 50 years ago was shoved into ABJECT POVERTY with people using the remains to support tents that all must live in, though they ALL seem to go on presumably working and have clothes. It is in perpetual winter with almost no wildlife and all the poor struggle to subsist on little creatures. They can't even get water, outside of molten snow, and all the support comes from the NK!

To tell you the truth, even most of the poorest live FAR better than that.

You're right. I mean HOW can you believe things about hollywood, beverly hills, new york, surfing, etc... and not wonder why they are talking about snow and seem to have most of the pictures there. and the poverty? OK, so why are we supposed to be such a threat? And if I were there, and treated as they apparently are, I would be upset about them supporting the US like they claim.

BTW to make it clear. At least from what I have seen.....

We generally have only certain birds that appear around the place in the open. They may be cardinals, bluejays, robins, chickadees, geese, etc.... Generally small birds, and NOT eaten!

There are of course others like eagles, vultures, etc... but I haven't seen very many in the city. I DID see an eagle land on a balcony of mine once.

Some are in the open wild but USUALLY uncommon or undesired, like pigeons and seagulls.

Some generally appear in reserves, zoos, etc... cockatoos, partridges, peacocks, etc...

Some are for pets, like parrots, budgies, etc....

OTHERS are generally just for food, like chickens, etc....

Of course SOME are in the wild AND raised as food, like turkeys, ducks, quail, etc... Outside of ducks perhaps, most likely won't see them in the city though. Ducks are migratory, and seem to like about any clean pond of water they can find.

ANYWAY, despite any debate to the contrary, it is clear that Americans only eat a certain subset of birds, and most of them are RAISED to be eaten.

That would be Romania, with its main train station being shown in those footage's. Also, I'm not sure, but I think that during my last Bucharest trip I actually seen "former Republican presidency candidate" and handed him $1. I hope he donated it to his political campaign.

So I wonder if the NK people are as duped by propaganda as the useful idiots in the states are?

*raising a big mug of snow in a salute*

I am going to say we've got enough people who actually ARE in shelters or living in tents or on the streets that we are rapidly becoming third world, though. Here in Central OR, charities give people tents to live in. That's their solution here to homelessness in the land of $600 a month + utilities studio apartments.

True, as silly as the video is, it's not quite as far from the truth as some of us would like to believe. Btw, in many places today you'd have a hard time finding a studio apartment for $600. That's what it costs to share an apt. or small house in my area, and that's more than 50 miles out of NY city.

I guess it depends on how much leeway you are willing to give them.

As for the prices? You will note I specified SOUTHERN california. at the time, supposedly the same $600/month home in NORTHERN california would cost close to $2000/month. In New york, if you were lucky, you could get a ridiculously small apartment for maybe $2000/month.

On the other hand, a place like las vegas nevada may cost less. After getting my $250K (The home itself cost about $200K) home, I was told I could get the same size home in texas with dual zone A/C for less than $90K.

Yeah, but not as much as NK implies. Shelters are different. As for tents? In most cases, that would be illegal. On some donated land, or federal lands, under some circumstances, it could even be NICE! Some middle class and rich people do that from time to time. Technically, you ARE supposed to pay a small fee, but the charity could pay that, or it could be waived.

And we ARE talking about the POOR. They exist EVERYWHERE, even russia, china, and cuba.

As for the $600 a month + utilities? I STILL remember my formula for regular rent in southern california up until almost 1990. The formula?

$400+$200/bedroom. So for $600 you could have a central air apartment WITH 1 bedroom. 2 bedrooms were about $800. 3 bedrooms about $1000. If you didn't want central air, it cost about $100/month less. I believe a studio cost about $400.

GOOD LUCK trying to do that TODAY! It looks like prices have gone up about 50-100%!

We have millions of acres of BLM land out here - and tents are not illegal there. You just have to move them every couple of weeks. There are a few states with tent cities, though, for people who can't afford to be US citizens and have homes anymore. Conversely to what many think, most people in these tents have jobs, so they can't move around at will without going without money for food and gas either.

I've often thought about how it would be a good idea to live in a tent for the summer months - how much money I could save! About the only thing that stops me is that I'd be dealing myself a death blow for internet. Still - with a laptop I could still get my writing done until I'm ready to go somewhere and hook up on wifi. Who knows, maybe I'll get a bee in my bonnet and actually do it sometime. I'll make sure to charge foreigners with cameras for the right to film, though.

They forgot how flavorful the "yellow snow" is.

We should air drop videos and dvds and cds and photos all over NK and some other countries to show what it's really like over here. Mainly illustrate that we just like to live and raise families and pets, just like the rest of the people of the world.

Now, I'm off to make Colorado Snow Coffee before we ship the snow to Texas and Florida.

Re: yellow snow If you take a sled dog ride, keep your mouth closed so you don't get that extra flavor and nutrition.

Good idea bizgrower, wouldn't it be an eye opening experience for them to see the outside world as we live in it? Wonder if it would create a massive uprising!
