Kim, I'd only be guessing on most of the US chart questions. I'd be more confident on the non chart ones.

Point of order, though - shouldn't the Beatles lyric be "I got a big surprise" (not I've) in the part two tie-breaker, or am I thinking of another song?

    Frank,
I haven't a clue. These are very tough in my opinion and would actually have to look 90% of them up.

I know the source is mostly based on US music but there are also a lot of UK bands discuss like the Kinks and the DC5.
I can post the link to it if you think you might want to subscribe?
PS: These trivia questions are really for a contest with a prize,so they are especially difficult.

Thanks, Kim. I can see they're tough questions, but for me, it's the emphasis on the Billboard charts that's the problem, not US music in general.

Interesting to hold a prize-related contest in the internet age. I wonder how they monitor fair play.

Too tough for me, so I'll just respond to each question with "Elvis, The Beatles and Michael Jackson".

I think the answer to the first question is the Jackson 5, although I could be wrong. I think that's the year Mama Told Me Not to Come came out. Everything immediately went downhill for me after that.
