If the summer vacation is two weeks from now, I would say...

School will be over in two weeks and summer vacation will begin at that time. Have a fun time and don't forget to brush your teeth.

This term____ over, the summer vacation is coming in two weeks.
Actually, it depends on the time you make the statement.

If the term has already expired, then you want the "present tense" = "is". But since you're saying it's 2 weeks in the future, you must use "future tense" = "will be over" or "will end".

It's great that you're concerned with correct English grammar - congratulation!

thanks, we thought the"will be" is right, but we are not sure the"is" is right or not. As you said, i am sure the"is" is not suitable for this sentence.

actually 'is coming' (present continuous tense) used only to show what is going on RIGHT NOW. but summer vacation is in future (still 2 weeks). So the right sentence will be

This terms is over, the summer vacation will be in two weeks.
    OR
This term has been over, the summer vacation will be in two weeks.
    AND
I think there is no need of 'coming'

Only my thoughts, I am not an english teacher by the way

It also seems like there is a comma splice in that sentence. Which to me makes neither wording correct.

It's been a couple decades since English class and my sentence structure isn't all that great most of the time in my postings.

    But...

The sentence would sound better like this:

This term will be over, summer vacation is coming in two weeks.

It seem to me it would work if you remove that extra the

    Try this one for fun:

There is four misteaks, in this sentence.

    Find them.
    1) There
    2) four
    3) misteaks

    what is number 4 ?

    no comma after There?

I SUCK at writing. I suck at spelling.

I can usually read something and KNOW it is wrong, but i don't always
know what is actually correct... if that makes sense at all.

      3. Punctuation error: no comma needed in that sentence.

      4. Factual error: there are only three mistakes.

so "There" was not wrong ... pfft

will soon be is what you want to write.

This term will soon be over; the Summer vacation is coming in two weeks.

        Although I would write:

This term will soon be over; Summer vacation starts in just two weeks.
