    At the Warrior Event the weekend before last, Mike Schwenk drove Jim Ducharme and me to the shopping mall just down the street from the hotel where the event was held.

    We pulled into the mall parking lot, and as we rounded a corner, a parking space opened in front of us. Another driver saw the space and quickly backed into it.

    The car was a white Maserati. Apparently this was her family car. She and her kids jumped out of the car and walked into the mall. Just another day in Raleigh for them.

    Wow - sweet ride. Guess you better be able to flee on foot - I've driven one and they corner like you wouldn't believe. Like watching a rottie chase a rabbit.

    I would think that those things would be necessary in Europe, where there are a lot of really fast little rigs. Just like out here in the NW US where there are mega 4WD trails to cut back onto in a fix, the trend is jeeps and the sort.

      Im currently in singapore and i have frens in the police force.
      They laughed, because when you are in pursuit now the driver[police] will be so careful about his car rather than chasing the culprit.

      And when u do catch up with him, what next? Normally they box him in or ram his car, or do a pit maneuver. But with a million dollar car, will u do that?
      lol..

      And people will be screaming foul when they see it, "where all the tax payers money gone too?" haha

      But without being critic, ya its a nice view to see on the road.

      But my frens in the police told me, in singapore, they'll just relaxingly tail you just to keep you in sight while they radio the next "town" squad and they'll be waiting for you will block roads and spikes. lol.
      Its too small and roads are so developed that there are no side dirt road to travel.

      Probably get stuck in a jam too. ! lol.

    That car would be fun to drive but the paint job is butt ugly. They should have tinted the windows & had the police lights inside the car, then they would bring out all the jokers pulling up alongside them wanting to race.

        I know - I slipped a cog - the OP says Italy has them, too and I saw the post about expense a few days after looking at the link - so slipped my mind where we were talking about - but........either place........still think the people might think it's a bit spendy.

          Yeah I saw the Italy bit too.

          You know in Italy if you are speeding in a Lambo or Ferrari the police don't stop you.

          They salute you.

          Anyhow. Couple of months ago on TV there was a programme about Gulf State Arabs who fly into London with their cars for 3 months.

          Approx £100 millions worth

            I dont know if its true but i forgot in which show and which country, but they were saying if you were traveling at over a certain speed, the police wont bother chasing you.
