Dude! You got those coals hot and didn't cook anything?

I was waiting for some steaks or burgers to hit the grill. You made me anticipate some grilling, I could almost smell it, but in the end you didn't feed me. No tip for you, young man!

        I use one of these...

You put the charcoal in the top, and stuff some newspaper in the bottom and light it. As soon as all the charcoals catch, you pour them in the grill.

Works great... no lighter fluid necessary.

I marinate chicken overnight in a gallon ziplock bag of good BBQ sauce (I prefer Mr Spice Honey BBQ), along with some fresh crushed garlic and melted butter (not too much butter though, because butter is flammable, lol). And when it comes time to put it on the grill, pour a half bottle of good dark beer in a metal cup and put that in the grill with it before you close the top.

Flip it in @ 25 minutes. Then take it off @ the 50 minute mark.

Best dang bird you will ever eat.

We switched to a gas grill a couple years ago. I used charcoal for years, but we decided to switch when our last charcoal grill got too shabby.

Can't compete with the grill - but if you ever want a campfire competition - you just met your downfall.

I'm a sucker for good BBQ - but I'm even more of a sucker for a unique camera shot. That last shot where we could see your reflection in the grill's lid has me thinking. Nice video.

Seems you know your way around with charcoal. We've always had trouble with it, so my preference is a gas grill--less patience needed before you can start to cook. It's too easy and quick to raise the heat if you need to do so.

Thank you! Yes I have been at it for 15yrs + now.. It all boils down to personal preference! No one method is greater then the other accept in our own heads lol!!

I say if you are experiencing good company, good food, and lots of good memories to take with you, then the grill has done it's job!

This was akin to the portion of an "adult film" that everyone fastforwards through. I wanna see some action! Throw some meat on there and let's get to it!

In all seriousness, I despise the clean up involved with charcoal. I either go straight for the gas grill or start meat in my smoker and finish it off on the grill.
