Heh all,

Not sure if this is the right section but i am using the firefox browser and every so often i get a pop box "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."

What is causing this ?
i do have only 2gbs free space left also on c drive also (bloody wso's) and nothing backed up either !!

Any tips ?

Thanks,

Just do a maintainance of your pc.

    1. Free up your C drive to at least 10 GB.

    2. Do a disk cleanup of all your local disks.

    3. Do drfragment of all your drives.

    4. Erase history of your firefox, cache, as well as saved pages. And yes if dont prefer bookmarks, delete them too. Delete the cookies also.

    5. Uninstall the softwates and games you do not use or play.

    6. Restart your PC and see if your it is alive and running good.

    Cheers!!

Also go through your stored stuff, and remove anything you don't need, and if you are using w7, knock your system restore settings back to 5 gig's, (5 is enough for most people).

But, yeah, my old PC, XP, is full also and has about 10 gigs left, any less than that and it starts acting up!

Try reinstalling Firefox or simply delete history and restore Firefox to it's default. Then, use some good antivirus software to scan your computer.

Well, does every so often mean when you are accessing Gmail? Happens sometimes to me too.

Apart from what twister85 said, reduce the Java cache.. That'll speed up your FF significantly. Also, run CCleaner.

        there you go!!

Just dispose vista and install win 7 or xp, win 8 if you're familiar with it as vista is known for its incompatiblity and error.

Secondly, remove macfee and install quick heal, avg or at least kaspersky, followed by quality and boot scan your pc.

Do all the procedure above and your pc will be fast as new.

And yes, in case it doesn't work, try changing or upgrading your RAM.

This tips are for speeding your pc, firefox is just a small problem.

        Cheers!

Get rid of any viruses or nasty cookies which seem to be a favorite of some hackers who don't care about cookie regulations.

    PC Steps:
Save and backup stuff you want to keep.
Download and run ccleaner by Piriform.
Hard flush dns settings: Start, Accessories, rightclick on command prompt as admin, then type 'ipconfig/flushdns'
Run 'full' scan by Microsoft Security Essentials.
