A verdict has been reached (a unanimous one) in the Jodi Arias trial.

Will be revealed at 4:30 PM eastern.

I'm going with guilty of 1st degree murder, and will probably be sentenced to death.

Your thoughts until then??

Yeah right dude, manslaughter for stabbing him 29 times, slitting his throat & shooting him in the head??

I don't care what kind of "abuse" she CLAIMS to have endured -- THAT is NOT self defense, like she claims..

Sticking with 1st degree, death penalty.

PS.. as for your "free jodi" comment:

No vegetables here, but take this brick instead!

I haven't followed this case at all. Well, I just read one article. Now being an authority on the subject, I will predict Murder 2, life in prison.

Normally I would say that I could see a Murder 2 conviction with life in prison -- BUT for this case, I just don't see that happening..

I doubt the taxpayers are going to want to foot the bill for the rest of this psycho's life, just so she can enjoy 3 meals a day, free health care, free power, free water, participate in her "inmate idol" program, singing her heart out to all her favorite songs & all the other BS surrounding her detention.

Put her to death & be done with it.

They say "its more expensive to execute someone than it is to keep them in prison for life"

Really? Because a bullet costs about 75 cents.. that's funny.

These people act like the only possible way to execute someone anymore is by lethal injection. Gimme a break.

As for the appeals process if she is sentenced to death -- There shouldn't BE any appeals process for her.

She ADMITTED doing all of these things to this poor guy!!!

Again, I only read one article, just so I could post in this here thread without being a complete ass. BUT, what I read didn't seem to prove premeditation beyond a reasonable doubt. Thus, murder 1 is off the table.

I'm not saying she didn't intend to kill Travis. I'm saying, from what I read -- in one article -- that it didn't seem the Guvmint proved intent/premeditation.

          Understandable.

I watched the trial from day 1 tho, trust me. They definitely proved premeditation in my opinion, and in a thousand different ways.

What non-circumstancial evidence do they have? That's a serious question, by the way.

If I remember correct and the stats have not changed, the average death sentence
takes twenty-two years before execution, if there is execution. This is due to the appeals process and we're still mostly run by rules of law, not men.

          Yes..

Which is exactly why, if you read all of my posts in this thread, you would see that I stated she should be put to death IMMEDIATELY if she is sentenced to death.

She ADMITTED her crimes. Therefore, there should be NO appeals process at all.

If they sentence her to death next Friday, carry out the punishment on Monday (the next business day)

Also, they should televise it. SEEING what awaits these lunatics is the only true deterrence for them. Simply being threatened with it does no good, as we all know.

lol... Nancy looks like my mother-in-law. No joke.

As for what I think of her reporting, meh..

Last night was hilarious tho - she had a guy on there who apparently called her out for not doing her makeup or nails or something like that.

Nancy got PISSED!!! She said that she works & has to take care of a child & the guy replied with "well I'm a single father working full time with 3 kids, and I still manage to...."

She cut him off mid-sentence & ranted about him for a good 5 minutes. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

What some people may consider to be circumstantial evidence, other people do not.

    For example..

The .25 Auto is such a RARE caliber that I've never even SEEN one before - and I frequent gun shops & gun ranges a LOT...

Hell, I've never even seen a bullet in that caliber - EVER!

However, one of them mysteriously comes up stolen from her grandparents house 1 week before Travis is shot in the head by -- you guessed it -- a .25 Auto!!

lol yeah right.. that is about as non-circumstantial as you can get in my opinion. All it takes is 1 person on that jury who is knowledgeable in firearms, and they could easily explain this to the other members of the jury.

Then you have her trip planning. She purposely cut off her cell phone in Arizona to avoid being tracked by cell towers until she was out of the state.

She purposely made sure that she had enough gas cans filled up to make the trip without EVER having to stop in Arizona stores to avoid being caught on cameras/credit card transactions.

She brought items on her trip that she said she was "going to return to Travis when she seen him" -- yet previously stated, that it was just a random, spur of the moment trip and she did not intend on going to his house at all..

If that's the case, why bring those items in the first place??

I dunno man.. like I said, what some people consider to be circumstantial, even the law interpretation of the term, other people do not agree with & find it to be evidence of premeditation.. myself included.

Then you have all of the lies.. and trust me there are LOTS of lies in this case, all of which the truth eventually came out, and she had no choice but to admit she was lying all along..

Just sooooo many pieces that when combined, all scream "PREMEDITATION!!!!!" to me.

Only one way to find out tho..

We are 30 minutes away from the verdict coming out, so I'll be sure to report back once we find out what it is!

@Sare, LOL hell yeah man. I literally choked on my drink when that happened from the laughter!!

This is interesting. The article I read said it was Travis' gun.

She had enough supplies to completely avoid leaving any trace of her ever being in Arizona - both on the way there & back.

What she did NOT prepare for (because lets face it, nobody can) is AFTER she killed Travis, she came up to a police checkpoint in the road while she was covered in blood.

She pulled over on the side of the road (miles before ever getting to it) and took out a spare outfit that she kept in the trunk & changed.

Probably disposed of the weapons at that time too.

Then she used some of her water bottles to clean the blood off her hands as best as possible before going thru.

& no -- Travis did not own any guns of his own.

    & LMFAO Sare!!!

I swear, she could not have picked/been assigned a worse defense team.

The first time I heard the name, I literally thought they said "Bert 'n Ernie" - I was like HUH? LOL

Also Dan -- She had previously crawled THRU THE DOGGY DOOR and slept under Travis's Christmas tree on numerous occasions without him knowing about it!!

Everything about this woman just screams PSYCHO STALKER!!!!

The last straw for her (what made her decide to kill him) was when she found out that he was NOT going to take her to Cancun with him - he was taking someone else.

    OHHHH!!!

And regarding premeditation - I dunno how I forgot this detail in my previous post:

Jodi TAPED over 13 hours of phone sex with Travis.. TAPED IT!!

Why the hell would she tape that much, or any of it at all -- unless she planned on possibly needing to use it against him in the future (which she DID use in her defense) ??

I would have LOVED to see those tapes from when she tried representing herself!

& yeah, I think so.. although after this case, I think its safe to say he's more of a "public pretender"

I think so.. but Nancy just said something weird about who will read it, so I'm not sure.

      I hope so tho.

I also hope they show Miss "no jury will ever convict me, mark my words"'s face when she is found guilty!

That part doesn't really surprise me, since these kinds of people always think they can just lie & act their way out of anything.

I'm glad she didn't exercise that right though, because we definitely don't need this loony out on the streets.

Na, they are letting media in. This is a huge moment for this trial.

Why share the trial with the world, but not the verdict being read?

      That wouldn't make sense.

But yeah - media is allowed in - if you have it on HLN right now, watch the seal of Arizona box.

That will be where the coverage pops up.

Well, that woman that acted like she was such an expert because she had classes in psychology and all. She kept "correcting" the defense by saying she had a doctorate, etc.... YEP, the law won't even let the BEST doctors PRACTICE without a license, and many that are licensed have been found to be quacks, and yet somehow that she was merely part way there makes her an expert.

Yeah, Arias did unusual things that worked against her, but that doesn't mean she was wrong, etc....

As for the 1st degree murder charge, how long will she even be sentenced for? How long will she be in jail for?
