I can't be happier at my opportunity

So Monika, the landlady is expanding her nursing home to every room of the house. I have to move, therefore.

But:

This gives me the chance to go back to my old neighborhood that I left last year. I can'tr wait to go home to my friends and see everyone again. I can't wait. I am so excited about going home again.

I was scared of the possible flashpoint from mom when I called her tonight about the move. The flashpoint was rather funny though, nothing to be scared of really. I was thinking that she was gonna accuse me of stuff I either did or didn't do to get forced into a new move. God gave me the wisdom to explain it carefully and avoid a major flash.

She just saw the glass half empty when I explained it to her that ,no, the glass really is half full: I move HOME to Downtown to MY neighborhood. So relieved to get out of this bad neighborhood and go HOME!

Well, glad to know that you are happy about relocating. I agree that nothing compares to the home where you grew up. At least, that's what I feel.

Indeed, new and old location at the same time. That is so serene and calming. I have NEVER felt so serene and calm about a move in my life, EVER! This sad sack neighborhood is called Boot Hill, I call it Boot HELL! Hell, because there is only ONE c-store and NO restaurants or ANY of this jazz for MILES! The nearest mall is about a mile away if not much better than that! It would take me all day to walk there, then to try to get back after walking that

I get to go home, and the possible apartment I will be seeing on Thu. is right on the same block as a beloved restaurant and down from a good bookstore and other knick-knacks and coffee and tea shops and so forth.

Catcher "in the rye" is that this house has marble and cherrywood and oak. I couldn't really give a rats arse if it means I can actually go home to my friends and old neighborhood. I learned that marble and granite and stone and precious woods don't matter when it really comes down to precious materials or friends. I really find that I had my fun with the precious materials and it is time to go home. I had my "fun" if you can call it that. Was really not half as fun as expected. Flash in the pan, really. I was homesick for 7 months straight, despite the luxury here.

Luxury can rot if it means I can have my beloved friends.

As bad as things were, and as nice as the future could be, I really wish I COULD go home again. C'est la vie. I really can't. But times were simpler and even my biggest problems didn't look as bad as some may now.

I AM seriously considering renewing old hobbies with an old 2001 type upgrade. Back then, people mused that even 1999 might be better than people now feel the future might be. If I had an extra $10K, I might consider going whole hog right NOW. Maybe it will start to seem the same, and I can pull the past to me.

I wish you the best of luck. As for the "old folks home", I could never stand them. I have been THERE AND in a mental ward(in both cases to visit others). It is hard to say which is worst. Frankly, I think the old folks home was. So it is probably better that you are out of there.

    Steve

I suffered a fear all morning that mum would somehow not like how the apartment looked when we would go over to drive by it this afternoon. I prayed that she would approve. Prayers answered, we went for coffee and discussed that I wouldn't give the 1050 rent to Monica, rather I would give my rent money to the new people.

There were several applicants to the new place. I hope none take them unless one goes in the basement. That would be OK, as long as I get upstairs. Well, unless upstairs is on 3rd floor. I am happy about the place and she was too. We have to "complete" on Thu. pray that goes well.

I could be away from the forum for a week or so while the telco comes in and moves my services over when I move. This can happen next week or could happen on June 1st if there is a suite open for either dates. Just a heads-up.

I think it can. There are 3 apartment blocks to look into along that path alone. There is a Lodge across the apartment I will nearly certainly get tomorrow if the apartment in the afternoon pans out well, the lodge will get called at the end of the month and I can also book a new appointment with another apartment down the road just a tiny bit, still on the xx00 block part. All 3 are along that xx00 block section, directly behind my FAVE areas in the world, so I do not see why I won't be directly in this area.

dad may pay the prorate for the remainder of this month for me to move in this weekend or next week sometime. Hopefully, friday, I will screw this place and pay the upcoming cash of 825 instead of 1K to Monica, the old landlady. 825 cash leaves me a lot of room to finish paying my bills and get them down to 0 and can start out with a clean slate. A perfect clean slate for the move home.

If I can be home by Wednesday, that would be great. I am thinking of taking the basement suite as I think the laundry room is down there and I don't have to lug laundry up and down stairs. I am going to tell Mum this as well. I think she would settle down with this explanation and I think, if I heard correctly, the downstairs suite is open for anyone to take it. Hopefully they will take a written out check from Dad to take possession tomorrow.

Dad won't pay the pro rate for the new place, but the suite is still open and applied for. Suite 14, which was upstairs was taken already, so that was a teeny scare. Who cares about that suite. The basement is closer to laundry and the basement is, again, cooler in hot summers around here. I kind of hoped for the basement and yes, I do face the street at that suite. I still hope I get it. Tuesday is pretty much the day I find out if I do get it or not. There are other places that I bookmarked and will be bookmarking if this one doesn't turn out so well. Looks ok, as to the suite being empty, though. I cannot see why I wouldn't get it if no one has claimed the suite.

I just hope I get it. I love that area so much and would love to live nearer to my favorite places than ever before. I can NOT wait to get out of Boot "Hell" Hill neighborhood. NOT ONE THING to do here.

Please pray for me today. I need that apartment. Please pray that I am approved for it and don't have to go and look for other apartments. I am so scared of this. I just hope I get this and pray for this one. This is my favorite apartment.
