Well you know - it IS a founding father and former president looking for your help. So it MUST be ok.

I'd ask him to remove your name from his "contact journal."

Hey, not to get too far off topic but I noticed the link in your sig about authority sites. Is it me or is this shaping up to be the next wave with the MMO crowd? I see the term thrown around a lot lately. There used to be certain criteria that had to be met to qualify. I saw a guy on the main board recently refer to a mini authority site. Ugh.

I know you're qualified though. You probably had one of the first ones I ever visited.

It does look like more and more people are jumping on the "authority site" bandwagon. I've been advocating it for years, although not always in those exact words.

A mini-authority site? lol - I can see the term "authority site" is going to be corrupted beyond recognition. I'm only guessing, but I'd guess that there will be a lot of authority site products that are going to disappoint people.

Not me but one fellow citizen of my country got involved in such transaction.

The guy ACTUALLY sent him money. It was smaller sum than this but still quite big.

At first it had to look amazing I bet. BUT then the real trouble started.

    Long story short....

He got problem with governments of both countries, spent some time in jail and lost even more money than he received.

I would have never believed in a million years that any of this type of nonsense could possibly result in getting money. Jail? Yes, but money, no.

Actually, he really did receive the money. The sum was much much smaller than this one (I bet because it works better). Like 200k Euro. He was acting like a white horse or something.

I only know of this because it was on the News.

You know, I've learned it's good to have a $20,000,000.00 minimum for emails like these, because it really filters out all of the crappy ones.

I usually just respond with "serious inquiries only, please." I don't care if you're Elvis.

I just got this one in my inbox. I cut out some of it to make it shorter. Con artists are really putting a lot of effort into their scams lately. This one is pretty funny.

I prefer to receive my money from Nigerian princes and Chinese bank officials the old fashioned way, ie in a brown paper bag left in a dumpster behind the local McDonalds.

The old ways are still the best.
