    Ricky is 15 and a mix (even though half of that mix is Rottie, which has an official life expectancy of 10 years). They give him an age of 90 on Kay's site.

    If you go by the 7 yrs for ever 1 in dog years -- he's 105.

    So I don't know if he's a centenarian or not but he's old.

    I have an ebook from Your Purebred Puppy, An Honest Guide to Purebred Dogs and Dog Breeds called "Longer Life For The Dog You Love".
    I've checked the site and, unfortunately it's no longer available.
    But, in it, Michelle, (the author), states that there is no reason why an average dog shouldn't live to be 20 - 25.
    She believes the answer is in the commercial dog foods.
    On another note... Since I've moved to Florida, I've met 4 dogs who are all 16 - 17 and going strong.
