How Much Did Google Pay For "The Internship"

I have a feeling this movie was created back when that facebook movie came out.

Do you think Google paid a studio to create that movie?

I mean I'll see it, I like Vince Vaughn, but it seems like they just wanted a movie about their company too.

    According to the article, it was Vince Vaughn who initiated the idea and contact with Google after seeing a 60 Minutes episode featuring Google interns.

      According to the article, it was Vince Vaughn who initiated the idea and contact with Google after seeing a 60 Minutes episode featuring Google interns.
      This sounds more likely than any relationship to the Facebook movie being made.
