block apps on my android

I work by myself and get bored and lonely at times, as you do... however to get a quick fix I often check emails and fb on my android smart phone, and it really is unproductive! so I know there are programs you can use on your pc to programs block access certain period of time, I was wondering if something like that existed to block apps etc on android phones? cheers team!
