We have a Muslim and a Caucasian running for President and VP ( correct me if I'm wrong)
Then we have a Caucasian and a Caucasian Female running for President and VP.
Now I am not trying to be racist or discriminating but has anyone given any real thought to the possible reasoning behind Mr. McCain's Female choice for VP. Hilliary followers possibly coming to the other side because McCain now has a female running mate on his side. He may not fulfill his obligation due to medical issues that may arise and low and behold we now have a female President in office.
In 2012 we may have 2 females running for office. My opinion to this convenient choice of running mates is to even the odds of minority status.

Obama is not a muslim. And "Caucasian Female" is not a race.

And women are not a minority.

Clearly, though, there are a lot of people (men?) who just can't imagine a woman running a country. Other countries have found it works just fine. We love to brag we're "free" - but when it comes down to it, the blinders are still on and the thinking is still limited.

Your comments contain a lot of assumptions of what might happen, or what could happen. Dealing with the reality of what IS makes more sense and the reality is, this election - whichever way it goes - will not be "same old".

Why do we have to judge how someone is going to do a job by their race or their gender? Why can't we see there qualifications and choose who we think is going to do a better job.
