I came across this article last night. Congrats to the women that made it, as well as the men.

Size too. There are no 6 foot 5 inch 270 pound astronauts.

I wonder what the difference is between men and women during space flight. I mean the stresses, G force, weightlessness....

There has to be some differences.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Well, the average woman has thinner bones, and is more likely to get osteoporosis, Since being an astronaut will thin the bones, and make them more likely to get osteoporosis, That is because of the weightlessness, cramped quarters, etc... I guess the women better hope for shorter flights and more opportunities to recuperate. In the past, it has been tough enough on the MEN.

Steve; You are right about osteoporosis. So NASA has vowed never to recruit women that are elderly or after they go through menopause.

You'd think that most would be blond - they're half way into orbit already.

FUNNY! 5% of all people are supposed to be blond. So the pictures are actually close to the norms! The woman with the blond hair has a similar face to carter, and is the ONLY woman there in a similar outfit! None of the others would have been as close even if they had the same hair.

Oh hell no. I'm not blond at all - I'm old. It was a med brown when I was young - the blond look comes from the grey in it.
