19 Firefighters Perish

I just wanted to mention these brave young men as a sign of respect and to show my appreciation to who they were and what they did.

It is the worst possible outcome for those brave young men who were taken from us in the worst possible way.
Having lost a sister at age 10 and a brother at age 22, I can truly imagine what the families are going through at this moment.

I cant begin to adequately express how much each and every one of those fallen hero's are now and will always be remembered, appreciated and deeply respected for the incredibly difficult job they performed and the ultimate sacrifice, that their duty and cruel circumstance forced upon them.

I wish my very best to all the family members and friends and sincerely wish them all the respect and sympathy and offer them my appreciation and thanks for the duty and valor of their sons.

God Bless You.

Very sad, multiplied by 19 -

I am so sorry for them and their families.

They died trying to do good - there has to be something to be said for that.

Thank God if it was quick.

We often take for granted how incredibly brave these people really are.

RIP - and my sincerest condolences to their family and communities. These are the type of people we just can't afford to lose.

This story was chilling to me - my Colorado Grandson's goal is to be on a HotShot team and he's working toward that.

He's ski patrol and mountain rescue in ski season - in school and working to be a firefighter when he graduates. I think he wants a career as exciting as his Father's - but fires scare the crap out of me.

Those poor families. So many young men gone - I only hope they can figure out what what wrong to protect the other people who do this dangerous work.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.
