I really need it for rent...my family is depending on me and I just cant make ends meet...please help...

Refer me to some one or something...I just need it

I'm ashamed of my self, but this is the only thing I can do right now

Fact: No one can simply point you to a money pile. IM is work and preparation and time spent and knowledge gained. If you need money desperately - you need to find immediate work offline doing whatever is necessary to pay the rent.

Check out crisis ministries. Hopefully they can help if your rent is depending on it. Just bring them a copy of the rent bill and other utility bills you have.

Problem being is that I need it for such short notice...but I will keep looking.

I really really appreciate the help...with the internet being anonymous usually people forget that they are kind at heart

I noticed you did not answer his question.

The problem is not that people forget they are kind at heart, but that you have no credibility yet. A member barely a month and know one knows you.

I think if you had been here as an active member for say 6 months and we had gotten to know you to some extent maybe some of the responses would be different.

You can get a payday loan, pawn something, or advertise on Odesk, Fiverr, or (gasp) here for your services.

Learn from this. Never get caught not having any money. Always have some in reserve. Do you smoke? Quit. Do you drink? Quit.

You walked away from your job because of stress with an injured fiance and two kids? You don't need advice, you need someone to beat you until you grow a spine.

What kind of work do you do?
Why is this month any different than any other,in other?
Are you $600 short every month?
You mentioned your family.Do you have a wife and/or kids?
    If so,does she work?

Do you have any marketable skills, either in Internet Marketing or technology of offline skills to market in your area?

What about Yard sales or selling on EBay?

As someone said, there are many charitable organizations in almost all areas these days.
    The VFW,The MOOSE, etc,etc.

    Good Luck.

    Biedec48,

I have read each of your responses in this thread. And frankly you have been given some pretty good advice from some of the folks responding.

But one place you should go if you can do banners, ads, etc. is the WF sub forum Wanted - Members Looking To Hire You . The very top thread 30 seconds ago was someone needing a banner.

You might also try contributing in the main discussion area with very useful information or in the sub forums . Whatever you do don't post 3 or 5 word post (e.g.: "Totally agree with you") that is nothing pure BS.

Get and ad up in the sub forum "Warriors For Hire" provided of course you have the $20.00 to do so. Will you get hired I honestly don't know but there is a chance.

Also you and your fiancee (once she is well) should consider getting a 2nd job, at least one of you anyway since their are kids.

Personally I have been where you are and I always found I was the one who had to fix it. And you know when I did it always got better.

One other thing, beat a track over to the landlord's office and ask for an extension and don't wait until the day the rent is due.

You should be able to find a church group.

County social services can help with utilities, maybe rent or food.
    Negotiate with the landlord.

Get a second job delivering pizzas or something until you have a couple of grand in the bank you don't touch unless for emergencies.

Maybe the Salvation Army can help too.

Sell some of your items like your TV, stereo, treadmill, etc. Worked for me before when I had little money. You can always buy those things when you have money to spare.

If you have any scrap metal laying around you can sell that & get money today, clean out your garage, clean out a neighbors garage (with permission, lol).

Any junk electrical motor has copper, which will sell for a higher scrap price If you tear the motor down & separate the copper wire. I have a friend that sells scrap metal, he makes a full time income & only works whenever he wants.

This might sound odd, but I once had an unorthodox idea for making some quick cash. I never tried this, but it could definitely work. While it's probably not the perfect solution, it sounds like you're in a desperate situation and desperate times call for a little "out of the box" thinking:

I once thought about the idea of contacting the people who advertise Garage Sales and Yard Sales in the local newspaper. You could find their phone numbers by putting their addresses into WhitePages dot com. You could contact them and ask them if you could sell hot dogs and hamburgers at their Garage Sale, as a way to attract people driving by, and make their Garage Sale a little more festive. You could even offer to give them part of the profits if they're located on a main road that gets a lot of traffic.

Of course, there would probably be all sorts of legal things that you should do, such as getting a food license, vendors license, etc. If you're just looking for some quick cash, though, you could probably do something like this once or twice, without any hassles from the local state food inspector. Again, I realize, this is not the perfect, most ideal idea, but it sounds like you're taking all suggestions, so I figured I'd chime in with this idea that I had many many years ago. Of course, you'd need a barbecue if you don't already own one and then you'd just need to buy a big package of hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls, plates, soda, napkins, ketchup, mustard, cups, ice, and a cooler for the drinks, and a cooler to keep the meat cool. Let's say you bought enough stuff to sell to 100 people (50 people on Saturday and 50 people on Sunday) and your average profit per person was $3 each, if they bought a drink and a hamburger or a drink and a hot dog. You'd end up with a profit of around $300 in one weekend. Then, just do it for one more weekend and you'd end up with another $300, bringing your grand total to $600.

I realize that this is a very unorthodox idea that could pose many potential problems, including potential licensing problems, buying the wrong amount of food, beverages, or supplies, and a whole host of other potential problems. If you were to decide to approach this in the right way, though, and get the proper licenses to start this as a legitimate side business, I don't see why you couldn't bring in a few hundred dollars every weekend, by just making other people's garage sales a little more festive and fun. Again, this isn't something I ever tried myself, but I thought I'd share the idea since it's probably a little different than other people's suggestions.

    -Terry
