I like it! I had to hunt around for it though.

Go to your own profile.
Click Customize Profile.
Underneath Settings & Options click Edit Ignore List.

We'll see how it works out.

I have never used the WF ignore list before and there is someone I, ah, want to ignore.

It looks like it is working.

And obviously, you're not on it.

Why doesn't Joe answer me? It's like he's ignoring me on purpose now.

So this makes it official when you want to ignore someone and makes them poof right off the page you are reading. So far, I've not had to do that, I'm pretty good at skipping over posts when necessary. It's just nice to know it's available if needed.

Now the only question is if anyone will see this post....so for everyone who cannot see this post, please let me know here in the thread.

It works, apparently I have two people on my ignore list. Don't remember who they are or why I did it.

One way vortex. I NEVER block anyone. There are some people I just refuse to address anymore, but if someone is burning me....I like to know it.

LOL ... I think either 4 or 5 times in the past (quite distant past, now), I've added people to my "ignore" list, and on every single occasion I've done so they've turned out to be people who were eventually permanently banned, sometimes even with the removal of all their emotionally-needy-trollish posts, too.

I haven't done this for a couple of years, but as I remember, one of the "slightly strange" things about doing it is that when they post, you don't see the content of their posts, but you can still see the "quotations" from them when other people reply to them saying "You're an imbecile" and so on (which tended to happen fairly regularly to the ones I "ignored").

Good luck with your ignore list, Joe. If I never hear from you again, I'll know I'm on it.

Heh. Intolerant as I know myself to be (unreasonably so, as an insufferable buffoon) I have yet to become exasperated enough to slap anyone with the ignore button.

I gather it's less to do with some perverse altruistic need to accommodate those I find disagreeable than with a simple semi-effeminate incapacity to back out gracefully from verbal confrontation until I cease to feel anything less than perfect gratification. Which by the sound of it could make me a prime candidate for your list, Joe?

Yup.. a food fetish is a far better thing than a foot fetish. At least that's the theory...put out by the National Food Fetish Association..or NAMBLA.

I was in a book store years ago and they had an adult section. So I tip toed into that section, with my coat lapel pulled up...trying not to look like myself.

      Anyway, I was looking at the magazines, and I couldn't get this out of my mind;

Magazines need to be printed in the tens of thousands of copies or more.

These magazines were about every single subsection of um...interest imaginable. And they came out every month.

One was about feet. I didn't look inside because it isn't interesting to me. I was married 6 years before I knew my wife even had feet.

But to some guys, this is a real big deal. And I was wondering what you could print about feet that could be so interesting that every month...you had to create all new "feet" content and photos.

WAIT! Don't put me on your ignore list!

          Haha! That was pretty witty!

But over and beyond that, you brought to my attention that trolls indeed are emotionally needy. I never thought of that before, but now I see it clearly.

Ok, not a huge light bulb moment, but at least the light is just a little bit brighter than it was before.
