That annoying bot is leaving nonsense names and incoherent gibberish messages all over the forum. How'd that happen and does the perpetrator actually somehow benefit from it?

It's a numbers game. They know most of their links will be nuked, but some will last for a while.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

You don't have to sneak in when the front door is wide open, the forum is free.

And, ironically, besides the forum being free now, scripts that do this very type of thing are (or have been) sold here.

I think it was that doggone spacetime curvature in a region of the universe that connects two distant locations.

      Darn wormholes, anyway! :p

If you see them, please report them. Quoted from the rules for the WSO section:
You may not sell any product here that endorses, enables, or facilitates the sending of unsolicited bulk messages via email, private messaging systems, or other channels meant for one-to-one communication, or the spamming of forums, chat systems, or social networking sites.
Sometimes one of those features will be missed in the ad approval process, so it's not impossible there're offers still including these options. We remove them when we're made aware of them.

In my humble opinion (this time I will put a few of my reports out in open in the hope that someone will say why they believe it isn't a spam tool in one way or another versus just ignoring, apparently, the report button and/or making a decision that these things are on the up and up):

        1. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ial-offer.html

        2. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-forum-classified-ads/521922-sale-captcha-sniper-discount-special-discount-bonuses-all-warriors.html

Isn't anything that automatically resolves captcha up to no good on the face of it? Real people register for an account, get an email confirmation in some cases, and start posting - they don't need to automatically resolve captchas.

        2. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-discount.html

Anything that creates unique usernames along with an unique email address that automatically registers you on 1000 social media sites and then drip feeds anything automatically seems to fit in this category to me. This one also includes a multi-threaded poster and account creator. Why do real users need this?

5-Solve captcha manually or using Deathbycaptcha service
        6-Activate the accounts automatically
7-Post your article in all sites (unlimited articles)
8-Export the report of URLS posted
        9-Multithread
10-Spin your article automatically included title, description and body. The software spin the article automatically. You paste the article then the software build 50 articles using spinner chief API. Also the software support custom spinned article, you can use your own spinned article."

Gotta love the predictable patterns. Closed the ones Mark mentioned, and someone decided to point out more that he'd missed, complaining about others being "allowed" to do something they can't.

One of the more predictable aspects of the spammer mentality. If they can't be destructive, no-one else can either, dammit! And when you actually close the others, they're bumfuzzled. They simply can't believe it's the offer, rather than some personal beef.

Elapsed time: 5 hours, on a Saturday evening. Not bad.
