Is $1,000,000 enough for you?

If possible I would like to have $2,000,000 instead of $1,000,000. I will use $1,000,000 to buy a nice house, car and boat, and then use the other $1,000,000 for my daily spending

Whether you have $1 or $2 million it will never be enough. The more money you have, the more your spend, then the more you want. You should be content with what you have right now, live within your means, put some money away, and give some to charity. Having millions does not necessarily make your any happier - although it can help - but in the end it is down to being content with whatever you have.

No, $1,000,000 is not enough. I won't settle until I've earned as much as I possibly can.

I'm not saying this out of greed. While buying expensive toys is always fun, when it comes down to that I don't even care. This is what money means to me:

1.) Earning money = achievement. So many people are slaves to money, but for those who take it by the throat and run with it... that's rewarding.
2.) Having money = freedom. Enjoy life to the fullest extent without ever worrying about bill collectors.
3.) Spending money = reward. Self explanatory.

Even if I never spend that much money on myself, I would've proved to myself I could do it. I'd also secure the futures of my grandchildren as well as my children. I could donate money to causes that matter to me. Possibilities are endless.

I refuse to settle. Life will be what I make it.

You can always tell who's made real money and who hasn't.

I made my 1st Million many years ago. 1 million ain't squat. It really isn't. Just ask forum members who have made it and they will tell you the same story.

1M invested today even at 4% is $40,000 year BEFORE taxes,

It takes about 10-15M to really say your doing well.

These days 1 million is not too much. You can consider yourself a millionaire if you have at least 10 million or more. Like somebody said before, you always want more, it never ends.

      Is $1,000,000 enough for me?

No! I want at least 50 times that!
I have a goal: I want to fly to the International Space Station.

I watched them flying overhead last night right from my window. I will see them again tonight, weather permitting. I wave and cheer them each time they overfly my place. I want to be there too and be able to look the other way, down from the ISS to the Earth, for real! :-)

I have been without money and on the cheap side for much too long now. I think it's about time my situation reverses!

Do you think the Spanish guy who won £110,000,000 on the European "Euro Millions" Lottery has enough? lol

What's "enough" is subjective and not
all to do with the actual amount of money.

Depends on what type of lifestyle
    you choose to lead.

Not if,but when i make it to my first million..I'll take what i learned during the course of making that first million and replicating it 10 fold.

To get me inspired enough to feel the passion to really get me a million..I've been considering what i'd spend and save.
first the whole lot would be in bank earning the highest interest rate i can get. (currently in oz,high interest rate savings acc's are at 5%)
I'd keep working to hit the next million, living off interest earned on first.(i'll do this even before i hit 50k)
It would be nice to buy a house, car (and a boat for the bf and me.lol.)
hmm..actually i'd probably end up investing the money earnt in real estate banking the rents along with online earnings.
So by the time i get 1mill in cash i'd have about 1mill in current assets.

Personally, I'm of the belief that you should never stop trying. Always strive for better - and money is a good way to keep score. That doesn't mean blow it all by paying yourself so many millions in salary. Keep reinvesting most of it in the business, and pay yourself a modest salary. At the end of the fiscal year, tally up what you feel you're worth to the company, then divide by the number of employees you have - this number will be your bonus.

Very true. 10 mill is a decent amt to say "Yeah, I'm a millionaire! And I'll be the same if you ask next year!"

Right now I'd be happy as a pig in a mud puddle with $145K so I could be completely debt free!!

Then... a million would go a lot further because it wouldn't all just go for taxes and debts - BUT - I also agree that today's market makes a million not go very far at all, especially the puny interest.

I'm telling my age now, but I still remember when my hubby and I were sitting at the kitchen table doing bills and I said, "You know what honey? If we were making $12,000 a year - we'd be RICH!"

Now I just laugh and wonder what we were living on then... maybe about $6-7K/year together (it was in the 60's), because it takes at least twice that much if not four or five times that much for someone to live comfortably (not wealthily with Lambourghinis, mansions, yachts and stuff - just 'normal' living with food, shelter, a bit of extra for entertainment and so forth)

Anyway - I'd sure gratefully take it if someone gave me that much! :-)

It's a great amount for a good business start. If you know how to make more of them. But 1mln $ probably wont be enought for my nest 50-60 years of spending
