      Yep she is -- but look at her. She's not that dumpy saggy gut pasty sick kind of fat you see today. She's healthy and happy. Her skin is glowy and her waistline is proportional - not the donuts of lard and jelly hanging over belts you see today.

      She's a reminder of America when it was wholesome - when food was real, people had integrity and honor, when the local doctor would drop by when you were sick and tell you how to feel better with out prescribing 5 different prescriptions for ya, when stress levels were low and people smiled and laughed a lot -- when the dream was obtainable for most. Country living, kids played outside, neighbors who knew each other and cared, and communities that were built on the sweat and ingenuity of the local people.

      Yes - I see all of that when I look at Hilda. It's not just Hilda that makes us happy - it's what she represents that makes us smile.
