Back in the 70's there was this gal Named Kim, great funny person that I was infatuated in! We were 14 freshman in h.s. we could never seem to be available when the other one was, I have'nt seen here on FB or anywhere else, but I bet If I saw here again there would be sparks lol.

Yep I was 14 also, way back in 67.
Her name was Lynette. Very pretty, intelligent and a joy to be with.
We lasted about a year till her parents found out. Then they shipped her off to live with relatives for a while because they didn't want her dating a white guy

Thom; Weren't you mad when you found out too?

Forgive me. It was an easy joke.

My first "love" was when I was 19, I think. Meaning that I thought about her most of the time. And was hurt when she moved away.

But it was nothing compared to how I feel about my wife. Not even close. There are different depths to love, I think.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Damn you Joe! How can anybody compete with that answer?

I was going to say that, but I...Never mind, I really wasn't going to say that.

          Well done.

          wow..

          THanks for reminding me.

Its good to remind ourselves and the ones around us who we dearly love and cherish.

Because once in a while, we do forget or get distracted with work and life that we take our love ones for granted.

(why isnt there a emoticon that is tearing?)

I was 15 years old back then when I fell in love with this guy in our class (I will not mention his name here because I want to keep his identity a secret. LOL). He's very intelligent and funny and were friends. We didn't end up being lovers at that time because he has already a girlfriend.

  • I married my first love. He divorced me less than a year later though. Fortunately, my first love wasn't my last and I have the pleasure of sleeping in my soul mate's arms every night.

      Thats very nice to hear.
      God bless you..

From what i know, (yet to have actual statistics)
most 1st love do not materialize.

Those few that do, do not last.

Only a small % of them stay true to one another and last for eternity.

Jus statistics though, not that it means anything to be in any of this category.

My aunt married her 1st love back in pre-u, and they are still together until today.

Not only do I remember her, I remember the exact moment I first saw her.
9th grade math class. 1st day of school.
    Roll call.
I was shootin' the shit with some friends.
But, when the teacher called her name I stopped in mid sentence
    to see who she was.
    Love at first sight.
    We dated through High school.
I blew it the night before she left for college.
    I still think about her.
