When we were young we all had people we looked up to. It could of been your parents or grandparents or an athlete, somebody that had a impact on your life,

Sadly, all I had to look up to was a watermelon I named Fred. Fred was a good melon. Smooth skinned, in great shape, and he always seemed glad to see me.

But one day I noticed Fred was starting to change. First came the soft spots. Then color changes. Soon Fred started to shrivel and wrinkle and get moldy. And he hadn't spoken to me in several days.

I was devastated. I blamed myself for a long time. Was it something I said? Something I did? I didn't know, and had to live with the guilt for what seemed like forever.

Then I met Jane. Jane was beautiful. Full of life and charm. I'd never see a more perfect eggplant. She too eventually turned bad. I gave her a decent burial and decided I didn't need to look up to anyone anymore. :rolleyes:
