Hi Guys and Gals,

Thought you'd like to know Google is officially 15 years old today.

Although it was started earlier as a research project called 'Back Rub', it was officially incorporated on September 4, 1998 and operating out of a garage in Menlo Park, California.

"Out of little acorns mighty oaks do grow'.

So let that inspire you to always aim for the stars - even if you're lying in the gutter, right now.

    Anyone else find it interesting that there is no special interactive graphic on Google's homepage to announce this?

      They celebrate it on September 27th... The reason I know that is because that's my birthday also. I remember going to Google a few years ago on my birthday and there was a cake as the Doodle. I thought to myself - "Creepy, Google knows it's my Birthday"

      I guess Paul and I are both correct. They were incorporated on Sept 4th, but celebrate on the 27th.

      Another weird Google fact - The first Doodle was a man behind one of the O's - this represented the founders going to the Burning Man Festival which just ended on Sept 2nd....

    They're also a good example of what you can accomplish with Entrepreneurial spirit. For instance:

    In 1998 Google founders Sergery Brin and Larry Page approached Yahoo! and suggested a merger. Yahoo! could have snapped up the company for a handful of stock, but instead they suggested that the young Googlers keep working on their little school project and come back when they had grown up. Within 5 years Google had an estimated market capitalization of $20 billion.
