I've recently found a show that I enjoy just about as much as I enjoyed watching Steve Irwin...

Yeah. It is a shame. I always loved watching his shows and I still do. Hard to believe it's been 7 years since his passing.

I broke down in tears when I heard the news of his passing.

It was like I knew him personally for a long time. But I've never actually met him in real life. "Wish I could've"

Steve Irwin was/is a great man.

I always loved playing with Lizards as a kid and would put them in my pocket and bring them in the house.

        My mom didn't like that.

Steve Irwin and his family are all heros in the Animal Kingdom as far as I'm concerned.
I continue to admire his wife and daughter as they continue walking in his footsteps.

Talk about superb branding... He's one of those guys that when
you see his name, you hear his voice, and simultaneously get
    the laughs and the warm-and-fuzzies.

    Wow, 7 years already.

You know what I really liked about Steve Irwin? No matter how bad of a day I was having he always brought a smile to my face. The man not only had a gift and a passion for animals, but you could tell he loved people too.

He died doing what he loved and I suspect he probably wouldn't have had it any other way. And as I'm writing this, I can hear his voice in my head.

    Thank you for posting this.

      I can't believe it's seven years either.

I visited his zoo/sanctuary in Queensland when I was travelling many years ago. He wasn't there at the time unfortunately but they were selling copies of his autograph which I naturally purchased and will keep forever.

I saw some of the crocodiles he keeps there too and you wouldn't catch me jumping into a river after them.

      Top bloke, bloody brave too.

Its strange he died by being killed by an animal, it was maybe destiny. It's good he died doing what he loved.

True. I used to love watching this guy. It just goes to show that no matter how expert you are about the wild, you can't always control their natural animal behavior.

I have grown up watching him in Discovery Channel, I was so much inspired with him. I even once caught a snake getting inspired from you. We all loved you Steve in India, can't believe it's 7 years since then.
