If it's your post that went something like this:

I'm looking for some free landing pages.
Not from someplace that I have to signup to use.
Don't tell me to google it.

I wouldn't answer it because you are the one that comes across as a pompous jerk. You come here asking for help, not giving value or helping FIRST, and making demands on how you expect that help to come.

THEN your second post is to complain about how things are done.

I can tell, unless you get yourself an attitude adjustment, your days here are numbered.

Hope you figure out how it all works here. There are plenty of posts and advice on how to have a long term mutually beneficially relationship here - just search for them.

I was reading some other posts. Where you were rude to the OP.

I wasn't.

Yes, we were all new members once and the very best thing we did as a new member was to develop a thicker skin.

Sometimes rudeness is in the perception, not the intent. That is one of the downsides of communicating via words rather than face to face where voice tones, inflections, facial expressions and body language help us interpret the intent of the speaker.

Yes, there are some rude members here, but if you run into one, just roll your eyes and say, "Whatever", but don't let someone else's bad attitude influence your attitude.

If it's a landing page you are looking for why aren't you willing to give up your own email address to get it yet you are going to, I assume, require your visitors to give theirs?

Google has tons of these so you know what they say...

I'm not asking for anyone's email. It's only a landing page for a gpt site.
There's going to be signup form on mine. It's going to bring them to a page to sign up to the gpt I'm promoting with my referral link only. There would be no signup from my site.

And why should I give my email to sign up to a site.
I'm really talking about the sites that ask you to create an account, like instapage.

By the way stoltingmediagroup, the most annoying ones are those dancing bananas. Or anyone that moving.

Yep some of us are blatantly rude. That's life. It's also business. Get used to it. If you want to avoid "rude" - my best advice is to stay out of the OT forum, where even long, term, well respected Warriors can get into chewing matches.

The business crowd in the main forum is a LOT easier to deal with than the "sick of business right now" crowd down here. Trust me on that one. It's a great forum - you just have to learn to play ball with the big kids.

I know that you are new to all of this, so:

1. If you're going to be in sales & marketing, you're going to need thicker skin.
2. Nothing is ever free. There is always a cost somewhere.
3. You're going to have to give out your email address. That's for *any* kind of business.
4. If you can get a quality landing page in exchange for your email address, that's
probably a good deal, and you should take it.
5. When you give people your "referral link" you are probably asking them to go sign-up
for something somewhere. And they will have to give (!!!) their email address.

I really don't understand why this is so difficult for an "all-knowing god"?

Most seasoned Warriors don't mind helping members who are willing to help themselves. But when people come in here, new and with entitlement attitudes, then some members will be rude to them - however wrong it may seem to you.

No one is going to hold your hands - if you make the effort to help yourself, you'll find people will treat you differently.

When l first signup, l was pretty scared to make my first post, hoping that l didn't break a rule?

But after asking the usual how to make money, etc questions, and getting some positive comments, l started to get the hang of it.

I am a bit of a WF veteran, but still go to war on rare occasions. But l try to keep it civil, but will walk away from the discussion if open discussion is impossible!

IM isn't easy and as Sal has said, we come here for a break or breather from it, so some of us, may have a small chip on our shoulders, so avoiding a discussion that is getting heated, is a good idea.

Enjoy the forum, and don't take the "Off Topic" too seriously!

I find it strange that not a single post has been really helpful to the newbie/OP, honestly, if you treat your new customers the same way, you would soon lose them.

Rather than criticise, be helpful, is that not part of what we're all about, helping each other succeed.

Just about everyone that posted in this thread has helped multiple newbies (and oldies) many, many, many times.

This is fact. Browse through the forum and see how much help, concern, support, and friendship is here. Hint: It's all over the place, all day, every day.

What gets the ire up (at least mine) is when someone comes in here with a few posts complaining about how they were treated, demanding that things change, starts out with an attitude, etc.

I wouldn't go to your house and ask for your help because my car broke down, I needed to use the phone, I was lost or whatever and immediately start to berate you and your family, calling you names, acting selfish, acting like you owe me something, etc. If I did I would quickly find out if you owned a shotgun and/or would have a meet up with the local police if I didn't leave or start to behave.

That's exactly what happened here.

Give before you ask for help and never demand. If you say "I need help but don't tell me to search on my own or to lift a finger to help myself first because I don't want to hear that -- all I want to hear is for you to share your experience and value with me and DO IT NOW" you'll get run out of town pretty quickly here almost every time.

My two cents.

Well, along with "rudeness is sometimes in perception", so is helpfulness, apparently.

I did try to help the OP in my post #4. But if you find that to be rude, you have even thinner skin than the OP.

I guess 2 cents just isn't worth much these days, eh?

Well I am new and you all have helped me with so much information already! Reading through so many helpful posts is awesome and I am happy to have found this forum. As a newbie I think its important to be thankful for what is here, ask questions when needed but I am sure that they get alot of questions that show the lack of initiative on the part of the asker. Anyway I hope that you found what you were looking for. I myself am on a steep learning curve right about now...

If you don't want to give out your email, you're not going to get far.

When you sign up to get information, it's a tradeoff as opposed to paying 47 or $27 or $47 for something of value.

Once you are on a mailing list, you can always have your email removed from the list.

You probably should Get Paul's Handy Little Guide to the Warrior Forum

Also You should join the WarRoom and you might learn how this in depth resource can work for you,

I had another thread asking about landing pages, but someone deleted that.
If the person didn't use any of these smileys. I wouldn't be complaining.
Those smileys make it seem like people don't like helping new members.

And if I'm asking for help in another thread. Which has nothing to do with this one. Then why was it deleted for.
The only thing I said on there was, don't tell me to google it because I already did.

I am a Stargate fan, and get it, but most probably won't?

I would recommend at least making it a quote with the Stargate character as the source, because you may have set it up as a gag, but it comes across as arrogant!

Maybe you are right, but as said before the god reference doesn't help, since most don't get it as a joke.

This is a great forum, but unfortunately when someone, tries to justify a comment that comes across as arragent, then it sometimes results in, a linch mob, with the burning torches and pitchforks.

Pussy foot around for a while, change your sig, file into a quote, help out to give people a chance to get to know you, and you should start to fit right in.

But continue to think that you are correct and we are all at fault, then l suspect that the dancing bananas and smileys, will not end!

And this thread could turn into an all out argument or get closed.

You have jumped into the deep end of the pool and got a blood nose, now it is time to swim to the shallow end, and take it easy, or let things cool down!

Funny! I recently watched the very last episode with Ba'al! They celebrated the killing of the last instance of him, so they thought, but were unaware that the REAL last instance had gone back in time to set into motion the destruction of the humans on earth. With the "last instance" gloating, and the disappearance of two of them, they figured out what happened, managed to go back, and kill, supposedly, the REAL Ba'al. Somehow, I don't think they explained how, the guy managed to get back to the future in time to watch the "last instance" gloat once again as things went smoothly and he TOO died!

Maybe he got back because, having done that, he never left, but that would be yet ANOTHER paradox! YIKES! I mean if he solved the problem, he would never go back to solve it. If he didn't solve the problem, they would never be in a case to have it happen!

Not much of a god, even if he DID do so much more than most of the others.

For the benefit of some others, like heysal, Star Gate was about an alien impersonating a god, and trying to get all the benefits that such beliefs can give. The humans went to the "god"'s servant's planet and ended up blowing the "god" up, and turning the servants against him. They went there by using gates setup by an old race of humans that I guess represent the CHRISTIAN gods, called "the ancients". Of course, since they now effectively ARE like gods, they have no need for the gates. The "goauld"(sp?) use them to travel easily from planet to planet.

Anyway, the "goauld" are snake like parasites that have a species memory. I forget the actual term, but the offspring have all the memories their parents had. They invade humans and can fully control the humans, and access their memories. So basically they steal technology, know all their line has ever been exposed to, and can hide, and gain followers out of fear, belief, and custom, and that is their ONLY strength!

A few suggestions.

If you don't want your main mailbox to get cluttered with a lot of stuff, create a separate one for subscriptions. Check it often, and unsubscribe from the stuff that's useless.

Griping about such a meager price tag for something you want badly enough to demand it in a public forum isn't going to endear you to anyone. It will pretty much guarantee you're not taken seriously. (There's that word again.)

Issuing commands to a group is rarely a productive approach. Doing so with a sig file that suggests you're a "god" is even less well-considered. Doing that and then starting a thread to complain about how rude people are is worthy of headlines...

Unless he knew what would happen. So he sent a clone back in time. Or, his future self is a clone.

You never saw that series? BAAL was SNEAKY, SMART, and ARROGANT, and KNEW his time was up! So he created a lot of CLONES! He led all to believe they had all clones, but he tricked them. They killed EVERY instance they knew of, but one. And they were in the midst of killing THAT one, which triggered baal to go to plan C. His FIRST plan was discovered and destroyed. His SECOND plan was to have at least one clone out to explain further clones to frustrate searches. The capture of the last clone made THAT a failure. The THIRD plan was to go back in time and sink the boat carrying a gate to the military to be checked out. If they never got the gate, it wouldn't be used or studied, and the earth would be DEFENSELESS!

ANYWAY, he went to the past from the future, and it plays on the timeline theory of paradoxs. In other words, the timeline already went so far, and he couldn't change that by doing anything to HIMSELF. If he died, it wouldn't stop anything that happened, or was started, first. BESIDES, if he REALY wanted to do something by killing "himself", he would have killed the version of him that was in that timeline ORIGINALLY, The OTHER people were in the original timeline PRIOR to the event, so killing THEM WOULD have changed things.

ANYWAY, he went to the past from the future, and it plays on the timeline theory of paradoxs. In other words, the timeline already went so far, and he couldn't change that by doing anything to HIMSELF. If he died, it wouldn't stop anything that happened, or was started, first. BESIDES, if he REALY wanted to do something by killing "himself", he would have killed the version of him that was in that timeline ORIGINALLY, The OTHER people were in the original timeline PRIOR to the event, so killing THEM WOULD have changed things.

I've seen every episode a couple time. I've seen every movie a couple time. But I still don't understand the last one.
At the extraction, people started disappearing, so they went back in time. In the middle, Vala sliced Baal in half. He dead.
Later on, Cam shot Baal in the head. He dead. Again.
Then they get back to the extraction. But he didn't die. The snake was just removed.
So that means, his clones had to go back. They had to miss a couple.

Um.........okay. I've never watched Stargate so I don't get it. It might be funny or clever as hell if I did watch the show - but not knowing anything about that allusion........it just looks kinda lame and arrogant.

Not trying to debase you here - just letting you know that the allusion isn't caught by everyone - from the looks of this thread, quite a few people - so make sure when you use an allusion in business, it's going to understood by your potential customer base, at least.

A better way to say that would be "I tried Google and didn't find what I was looking for."

The responses you get are a reflection of the way you word things to begin with, and the way you word things is a reflection of your attitude. Adjust your attitude and I think you'll find other people's responses to you are more to your liking.

Lose the attitude that others should do your bidding for you. You're looking for a piece of people's time, and few will want to give it to you when your attitude is one of entitlement.

Asking others to change to suit you isn't going to work. You change, or you'll be fighting against yourself and blaming it on others until you do.

@cashiskinginfo..the best thing if you really want to learn from others, get great information and be part of an awesome ebusiness forum..?

Start again from scratch:

1) change your signature..not everyone here understands what it means, and would take it as arrogant..I'm a Star Wars fan as well, but you shouldn't have it as a signature in a business forum.
2) be involved in the community and all it offers, which is worth a million bucks as far as value is concerned.
3) more importantly, change your attitude and be helpful to fellow WARRIORS, than demanding with a give me and defensive attitude..it goes a long way my friend.

Do yourself favour cashiskinginfo..don't make any more posts to this thread..move on my friend.

The thread got deleted for a reason, that is something you shoould have brought up with the Moderator that had deleted it, they would have had their reasons!!

Posts do not get deleted for the fun of it..you would have broken one or more of the rules..

Go back and read the rules of the forum, then start again from scratch, this is a great forum my friend..move on and put all this behind you.

You hear that in Wisconsin some too. Mostly from the Polish population.

Yes, indeed! Polish friends of mine say "eh" quite often. Their heavy accent in combination with the use of "eh" is quite comical

I have since found out that one of the 60 pounders (aged rye) that was left on my deck was from a polish couple that vacation here in the summertime.

Someone saw them leave it here in exchange for picking some berries off my mountain ash tree. When I tried to give it back, they became visibly upset. Polish folks are very hospitable and when they give you something, you keep it or you run the risk of unintentionally insulting them.

Yes, most of the Polish folks I know are very nice and have a very strong sense of fairness. That sense of fairness includes giving something back in return for anything given to them, whether tangible goods or something as simple as a favor. They're a noble people in my experience.
