Apparently I had a coffee 30 minutes ago...

This morning I remember putting a spoon of instant coffee in a cup and boiling the water. I came back to the WF for a while, and all of a sudden I remembered I was making a coffee.

I went to the kitchen and looked for the cup, but it was in the sink, and apparently I had already made the coffee and drank it.

Should I be worried? or do I just need a holiday

Have you experienced something similar?

All the time. Its getting a little worse with advancing age. But I think everyone goes through this.

You were just not "present" when you drank the coffee. So your short term memory didn't save the moment.

When I'm writing a book, sometimes I'll look at the clock, and four hours have past, and I think it was 15 minutes.

Have you ever read a book and completely forgotten the last ten pages? You weren't really engaged, that's all.

Start worrying when you can't remember what a cup is for.

If you can find a way to bottle that, it would be a billion dollar product. Now you won't mind watching those "chick flicks" the women folk make us watch - we could simply forget it

A 3 day hangover? Good grief... maybe cut back on the quantity just a bit?

Sounds like you need to remember to eat something instead of just drinking on an empty stomach.

Dennis: Good one. I have never ever made the connection between being in a vacuum cleaner store and "Sucking up".

No customer has ever said to me "How's business? Does it suck?"

That has never happened...NO! Never. (Best Steve Martin Voice)

What I hate is when I wake up in the morning and it feels like I just laid down, blinked, and now it's morning! It makes me feel like I missed a good night's sleep!

Then, if I'm having a bad day, I try to do it again to make it tomorrow, and it doesn't work.

It's just not fair, I tell ya! :p

I used to get that years ago before I was self employed and still worked for companies doing job jobs, and I didn't feel like getting out of bed. But that was almost ten years ago. Now I just find myself trying to figure out what day it is. They all look alike now.

Then, if I'm having a bad day, I try to do it again to make it tomorrow, and it doesn't work.
