Can you hide just one friend in facebook?

Hello guys,

Just curious... Can you just hide one friend in your friend's list FROM the general public?
Is this possible?

I'm not talking about avoiding a particular person from showing in your timeline
I'm not talking about hiding one friend to a group of friends (i know this is possible)
I'm not talking about hiding a group of people from a particular person (this also can be done)

I'm talking about a profile who has all his/her friend list open to the general public. Any body can see the Friends section. The number of friends says 26 but then when go count them you only find 25. I've noticed this in several profiles around and i was wondering if it's just a mistake on facebook or if there is really a way to do this. I've googled this but all the articles that say they show how to do this really do not show this specific thing that I'm asking.

Well, if someone knows the answer to this question it would be nice to hear about it.

    I don't think you can hide one of your friends on Facebook. It's on the privacy settings on the user. There are members who prefer not to be searched on the search bar or be seen on the list of their friends. I also tried searching for a user and can't find here through the search bar and when I tried to look for her on our mutual friend's list, I couldn't find her either.
