This is why I prefer dogs over cats. They are more grateful and compassionate. It's no wonder they are considered man's best friend! Really great video you have here, buddy! I would probably be watching more dog videos on YouTube now.

My Doodah (dog) was a bit like that. He'd been mistreated and was dumped or found his way into a huge fenced parking lot employees used.

For days he would sit on a bench there and people would pet him and bring him food. Several people tried to coax him into their cars to take him home and he'd run away from them.

I had petted him and talked to him but had three dogs so had no intention of taking him with me. One night I was leaving the area and saw him on the bench - the temperature was dropping quickly. I opened the car door and said "if you want to come, get in".

He jumped into the car, settled on the passenger seat - and that was that. He was with me 13 years until I lost him to old age last spring.

I think sometimes it's the human that gets 'adopted'.

Saving one dog will not change the world - but the world changes forever for that one dog.

There's not one doubt in my mind that Ricky knew he was mine the minute we met. I don't think it's been ME picking THEM ever. All my dogs seem to have made up their mind before I finished "choosing". God I love dogs. I can't imagine life without a good dog for a best friend.

The dog was wagging his tail while the guy was untangling him. That shows major trust. Cool video.
