My Introduction

Hello!

A little about myself and what led me to this forum and this first post... A year ago I graduated from college and I've spend the rest of that time working full time. I enjoy my job, and I'm not on here because I want to quit and pursue full time internet marketing, but I definitely feel like I'm missing out on something. I need another profitable outlet.

I've always thought to myself - I want to learn how to make money online. What has stopped me thus far? A few things... it seems like everyone who makes money wouldn't necessarily want to tell you how. I don't blame them. Also, I'm afraid of all the unknowns. I feel like I'm very good at accomplishing something when there's some kind of path laid out for it, but with this all there is is complete unknown. I don't have the slightest idea where to start.

So here are my questions:

1) Am I late getting into this game? I feel discouraged thinking that this whole internet marketing thing is already full of people smarter than me, with more experience than me, etc. Are people who are just learning how to make money online now less likely to have success than the people who got into it 10 years ago?

2) All I have is a basic understanding of the definition of internet marketing. I am smart, I know how to use a computer and the internet very well but I have zero knowledge of making websites. I have a good amount of money - both earned and inherited. I have a lot of knowledge on a few niche subjects (one of which I would guess is very patented). How can I focus in on one part of this seemingly huge topic and learn to become an expert?

Thank you!

P.S. I never mentioned exactly how I found the forum. I recently read a couple books.. How to Win Friends and Influence People and Think and Grow Rich. I was searching for other books like these on a forum I am already a member of when I found a post about this forum.

You're NOT LATE! You can NEVER BE LATE as long as the Internet Works.

    • As long as the internet is evolving there are always new ways to learn as the old ones fall in disuse. So you cannot be late and you don't need to re-learn the ways that worked a decade ago but are irrelevant today

  • Everything is harder online now. It was much easier ten years ago, but you can make money online.
  • Apparently the number of internet users will increase by billions in the upcoming years.

This means you are at the right place at the right time. Good luck Mr Smell Good
