Highest Playoff Ticket Prices (Cleveland Indians)???

This was amazing when I read it this morning on Yahoo. The average ticket price for their playoff game was 460.00 it just blew my mind
here were the stats for ticket prices for the post season

1) Indians 461.00 average per ticket
2) Pirates 322.00 average
3) Reds 150.00
4) Red Sox 329.00
5) A's 167.00
6) Dodgers 168.00
7) Rays 154.00
8) Cardinals 124.00
9) Braves 104.00
10) Tigers 103.00

what a difference?????

  • Hey, the Indians only have one or two home playoff games per decade. They have to maximize their profit somehow.


    Added later: the writer must be using ticket prices from resellers because I just went to ticketmaster.com and ticket prices for the Indians are nowhere near that. I was able to get good (not great) seats for the second home game of the division series for $111 per seat. There were no seats for sale anywhere near $300, let alone $461.
