Sorry PRO...LLC. I'm not going to be carving one this year - or decorating my yard, or NOTHIN'. I'm not happy about it because I LOVE this season...so..........I'm just counting on someone else to come in with their pics and help make it some fun. I could hijack a pic that I think's pretty funny - but it wouldn't be my own work, so I didn't post it here. I hope someone else posts, though. I think you're right - it's a good way to celebrate the season with our community here.

Thanks! And that image of the "secret code" was not at all what I was talking about, that's why I said a hand written note, it would be easy to spot a fake. I have been so excited glued to this thread all day I really want to do this! Last year I made a death star pumpkin and it was pretty sweet!

No offense intended, before or now, but a handwritten note can be faked too. Very, very easily. If someone had it in mind to cheat, they could still cheat, a handwritten note doesn't prevent that. Instead of having "requirements" for a contest with no prize, why not just trust people to be on their honor? As you said, it's only for bragging rights anyway.

Other than that, it could be a fun idea. Good luck.

By the way, I did you a small favor by posting that "giant" pumpkin. I bumped the thread back to the top from the bottom, where it soon would have fallen to the second page.

I think this is a fun idea, and would donate $20 for at least part of the prize...and maybe a product.

But how DO you stop cheaters? It's so easy to photochop, even I could do it.

Well Dennis is right, it would be really really stupid to cheat on this, it's a freaking Pumpkin Carving Contest on a forum LOL, and no offense taken Dennis! The question now is, are we doing this? How many / who is participating in this? When is the deadline? Requirements?

  Rules:
  
  1:
  Carve pumpkin that doesn't go against WF rules
  (political, racist, etc not allowed)
  
  2:
  No affiliate links in your Pumpkins! lol jk
  
  3:
  Post picture of your Pumpkin on Oct 31st or Nov 1st before the day is up but not earlier or later then between Oct 31st and Nov 1st
  
  4:
  Pumpkin must have hand written note next to it with your WF username.
  
  5:
  Members can "vote" with "Thanks" on your Pumpkin.
  
  6:
  The Pumpkin with the most votes by Sunday Nov 3rd wins!
  
  7:
  All entries after Nov 1st or before Oct 31st will not count!
  
  You are allowed (maybe) to promote the "Voting" of your Pumpkin in your signature, unless any Mods think that is going too far LOL. I guess this one is up to them really.
  
  That's it! I ask that anyone who is going to participate in this click the "Thanks" button on THIS comment so we can all get an idea of how many people are actually participating and who.
