7 First-Class passengers give up there seats for returning Marines. (And it gets better.)

the Marines learned that American Airlines -- which has a policy to upgrade servicemen and women in uniform whenever possible -- had six empty seats in first class for the group. That gesture was followed by seven first-class passengers who jumped out of their seats for the other Marines so they could sit together.

      In two airports - Atlanta and Dayton - I've been in a waiting area when returning military walked through as they arrived home and every single person in that area stood and applauded.

      The military personnel smiled and I saw a couple of them wipe away tears. This is not a return home they will forget.

      In Dayton the applause and shouted "thank yous" followed the military men and women all the way through the airport and out the door. I was proud of us and thought... this is the best of who we are.
