Just when Claude's welcome back thread is starting to run out of steam and everyone with an Avatar image breaths a sigh of relief, we have this!!!!

Had to do it! He, he!

And just to make it a little more interesting, l will award the first person to successfully guess the movie, motion picture or tv series, these images originally came from, one of my WSO products in my sig file! :p

That is guess where all the images originally came from!

I will probably give small hints, since some are hard to get, and the guesses have to be on this thread, no PM's!

And l will accept simple answers for some and more detailed for others, but best to do your best, and we will sort out hints as we go along!

Good luck!

Ok here we go! :p

First one is easy!

#1 The ???? name is enough, for this one!

#2

#3

#4

#5

#6

#7 Need the ??? name and particular show for this one! Have to make one of these difficult!

#8

#9 Too easy!

#10 The ??? name will be enough for this one!

Good luck! Mwahahahaahhaha!

Well #1 is Claude though I wonder where the hair came from, #4 is Kim, #5 is CLEARLY Cheech Marin, #6 is you sbucciarel, #7 what is that robot doing to me, exactly? And where are we, Lost In Space? on a Forbidden Planet?, #8 seems to be Laurence but it's expanded and pixelated over Oscar Wilde's hand-me-downs, #9 is where you SHOULD have put my face, tagiscom; big mistake, I will never forgive you for throwing me over for Kurt, and #10 is a freaking OWL.

As for the rest, I know them not.

Hmmm, l will give you one right, eventhough you gave two possible answers for one!

LOL, oh, oh, forum rivalry! Gulp! Kurt will get second role next time! :p

#10 A freakin OWL, LOL, can't be too many popular movies out that have owls????

Another small hint there, by the way! :p

Hmmmm, not saying! But l will give a hint, that it was a popular tv series!

I will treat this as a Mastermind type game, l will say how many but not which ones.

The pieces should go together eventually, along with the occasional hint!

PS the owl and dog thing are also from popular movies!

Next contested please, (or the same one)! :p

Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet (a great movie). The robot was also in several Lost in Space episodes and I think in Tobor, (Robot spelled backwards, get it?)

#3 is the outfit Riffle wore when he visited me. Don't ask....we just call it "The Incident".

So close Dan, but you got one wrong!

I need the episode name or full title. So instead of Harry Potter as an example, l want Harry Potter - and the half baked prince, (or whatever it is)!

I wasn't lobbying to be in a pic, Shane, but I did recognize my dog in the one. And my dog told me to tell you, "Arf."

Loosely translated, I think that means she thinks the rabbit is a weenie.

Whoa Shane! You're starting to scare me now!

First you called that I was going to post a Christmas video in the Claude's back thread before I had it emailed to me and now you put me in the movie The Birds which just happens to be my all time favorite "classic" horror flick.

Cut that out now, lol! :p

Anyway, in response to your comment...

Of course I didn't flinch. Can't you tell I'm taking a moment to pose for the camera? I'm such a ham, Hahaha!

I think number 10 is me in the uniform again. Is it Steve Martin??
    Number 4 is The Birds.
Number 9 I think is supposed to be Clint Eastwood but no idea of the movie.
Number 6 is Claude of course but no idea of the movie.
Number 3 I think is Paul Hogan in Crocodile Dundee.

EXACTLY what I was thinking, Dennis!

Now these were much easier, for me anyway. (I have not looked at posts beyond Dennis').

#1 at least I got a decent role this time. It's The Empire Strikes Back.
#2 is The Hunt for Red October
      #3 is Apocalypse Now
      #4 is The Birds
#5 I'm having trouble with, it looks like Genghis Khan
#6 is Rear Window and you sure are HAPPY about being with Grace Kelly, Claude; but I guess Who Wouldn't Be
      #7 is Driving Miss Daisy
      #8 NO FREAKIN' IDEA
      #9 is probably Dirty Harry
      #10 is Dirty Rotten Scountrels

I will give you Star Wars, eventhough a couple were made after that!

And l'd better give some more clues for some of these!

Some have said that #3, is Crocodile Dundee, it isn't! But Helicopters were involved!

#5 reminds me of, someone saying "a river of blood,......"?

#8 has Dr Zavious shown, with his daughter,......?

#1 Was set on an iceplanet,......?

#10 Helping someone to walk, supposedly.......?

        Shane

#1: Empire Strikes Back (I had an inkling it was the sequel)

#10: Are you saying it isn't Dirty Rotten Scoundrels???

#5: I'm pretty sure I know, but I'm going to let someone else win.

I'll pm you later today. Thanks!

          #1 Yep, spot on! :p

#10 No, just being cagey about which ones you got so someone else would have to figure it out!

#5 Yep, 5 is an easy one, when you get out of "what the hell is that from", and run through blockbuster movies, or sequels!

It seems that #3 is a tough one, so l will give another clue.

They had Helicopters and Opera music!

Number #11 is probably a tough one as well, so l will give another hint!.....

          Some truck drivers are insane!

          Shane

PS #8 might be tricky as well, so another clue is....

I am guessing from the light bulb that it is a 1930,s film?

Is it called, "One of the Three Musketeers, Goes Through a Time Warp"????

Hmmm, probably not, but he sure looks like one! He, he!

I picked the most obscure Sci Fi, movie l have come across, and one person guessed it!

Well "Robbie the Robot - and the Invisible Boy" was seriously obscure!

I suspect that this is an action adventure movie?

1991. Thriller. One of the scariest movies I've ever seen (I don't watch horror, so it's drama/thriller).

This was not answered yet so I am going to answer it then see if it has been later in the thread, but I was looking at the barbershop pole and the only thing I can think of that was really strange with barbershops was Sweeny Todd? I'm thinking that was too early for this one but can't figure anything else out with the barbershop setting.

        Shane

You folks may have been wondering what I meant earlier when I wrote this strange line:
"That does take editing carefully first."
...in the post where I told Shane I knew the answer but wouldn't spoil it so soon.

That was my proof I knew the answer in case any of you scallywags were going to give me the "Sure you did" hard time later.

If you look at the first letter of each word: T D T E C F

...each one is the first letter of a word in the movie title. So now you have two more clues, there are six words in the title and you know the first letter of each word.

Make that three clues, the letters are in the correct order, too.

Before I proffer may answer for this one, a question.

It's actually a comedy and not Western at all. That's Gaskills' face superimposed over the actor's face, but it's only Gaskill from the nose up.

I got to go out for a bit. I'll drop a clue when I get back

                                      No. No. No.

That's Randall "Tex" Cobb, thus it's Raising Arizona.

First one, haven't a clue? Might be a Marks, brothers, Western takeoff?

Second, is probably Raiders of the Lost Ark - the Last Crusade, Zepplin scene!

C,mon Joseph, at least make the faces black and white, in the first one. We need to keep our standards reasonably high! He, he!

Hey, I want equal rights with the guys in having a say about these...

Can't you make my face sepia to match the rest of the scene? Right now it looks like my face is really a ghost and not a real person and I really, really want Claude to believe in me.

I just used sepia and it doesn't quite cut it either, I tried a variety of filtering and can't quite get your skin tone, I guess you can call yourself "Unique".

Now that somebody got it, I'll tell you how I knew. I went to quote you, and switched the editor mode to hide picture rather than scroll to get past it, and there it was ... you used "stooges" in the picture name. That pretty much means it was The Three Stooges.

Now I think I'll do a pic, and name it after something incorrectly, to see who is peeking at the pic names to make their guess.

After I named it I thought that someone maybe clever enough to investigate but I forgot about switching the editor mode, I thought that you would have right clicked on the image and copy the image location.

Ah ... what a great movie, but no, it isn't. It's a psychological thriller done in 1979 (this pic is the 1979 version). Was remade in 2006.

I was thinking Amityville but I've seen it so many times I'm sure I'd recognise it but that women, if she's screaming, I'm sure I saw it on the back on a video version years ago.

How odd! I'm generally crap at these games.

Amityville and that were the only two horror's I could think of around that time that were remade except exorcist, but I'm sure the original was before either of those.

Stand still a second, Shane. I think I know it...

Why on Earth would I know this one?

Back in the day, my dad was a huge movie buff and made me watch a metric crap ton of old movies. Not to mention, I managed a video store in high school and through out college.

(Just in case Gaskill thinks I'm cheating. Also, I've basically given the name of the movie.)

Quite honestly, you did too good a job picking a model to slap Richard's face on. It instantly reminded me of the guy from the movie.

I might have missed it had the wife and I not just watched the movie last month. For Halloween, we occassionally watch a TDTESS/Army of Darkness double feature. Can you guess the link between the movies? It's kind of a stream of consciousness connection.

There's a thinly veiled compliment in there I think.

Boy, you walked straight into one there, Ricky. The actor was actually quite grotesque. If I recall correctly, he was discovered in a carnival sideshow in Gutshot Falls, Kentucky. He went under the moniker "Lenny - The Mysterious Man Whose Face Breaks Glass and Surrenders the Lady Folk Sterile." (Seriously. One look from Lenny and eggs immediately scrambled.)

Actually, what I meant was the angle of your photo lined up well with the movie still. Also, your facial structure is a bit similar, at least as far as I can tell from the pic.

I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. it's 3:30 in the morning and I've been smoking brisket, brining turkeys (No, I didn't give Claude a salt bath...like he requested. Eeeewww.), and otherwise been bashing my head against the wall all day.

Time for bed. When I wake up in ther morning, I expect this thread to include a pic with Claude's head attached to a turkey's body. The turkey should be doing something improper to a T-Rex.

Exactly Dan! A compliment, thank you my fine friend and wonderful Thanksgiving to you.

I've heard worse. Dennis wants me to be the forums caveman and I still took that as a compliment.

I recognized the shape of Patricia Neal's...um..curves in the photo. They are distinctive.

The link to Army of Darkness? "Klaatu Barada Nikto" (No idea about the spelling, or what it means). But I know a certain Robot that knows what it means.

The Day The Earth Stood Still is one of the greatest Science Fiction movies of all time. I've seen it often enough, that I can say many of the lines as it plays. Something my wife just loves me doing.

I don't know the scene with Richard Van, but you kind of made him look like one of the Neanderthals from the Geico commercials. I might have to start calling him Richard "Caveman" Van now.

What do think of Caveman for a nickname, Richard?

Dennis is so close it is scary! He, he!

Ok, l'd better give some clues, albeit small ones!

The front scene with the guy watching tv, is one scene, the guy with the white hair is another, the tv is another one, and the back scene with the window is the last!

      • A clue to the tv screen one, is the swimming pool!

      • The background one clue, look more closely at the background face, and you will probably get that one!

      • The guy watching tv, he isn't! Or isn't watching any show or movie in the actual movie.

      • Last one, or large face one, hmmm, the background map on the wall gives a hint to that one!

      Good luck! Mwahahahaahhaha!

      Shane

PS if someone says... Psycho-Crazed Warrior Schizophrenic Mental Gymnast Freaks Out Photoshopping, with a vengeance.

Well since no one has guessed, looks like this is in the too hard basket, so i'd better make it easier! Sigh!

Ok, tv screen shows someone sculling a drink while wading through a shallow pool! Someone should get it now????

The background image, shows two people, the one near the window being into robotics, and the other having a game of chess.

The person watching the tv, is seriously into computers! Enough said for that one!

And the foreground white haired man, is a cop! Enough said for that one! He, he!

Or two are science fiction and two are from comedy's!

        Phew!

Ok, should see some answers now?

      • The tv screen image is from a comedy, and this person is drunk!

      • The person watching tv, is actually talking to others, in the movie, over the tv/phone!

      • The guy looking at the tv, is celebrating finishing or completing a mainframe computer.

      • The drunk guy on tv, is a waiter, and couldn't be bothered walking on the steps going over the shallow pool!

      • The white haired guy, (right) is a Captain, and is dreaming of retirement!

              Groan!

Yep, funny thing about the Melbourne airport is it is next to scrub land so the occasional kangaroo gets through!

Or the news showed one that was hopping around the airport shops, etc. Security eventually got it, but l bet that the Chinese would have loved that one!

And no doubt some Americans would be saying, see Harold, there are kangaroo's in the city, this proves it!

Well Rolf Harris got arrested! But I don't believe a word of it! The supposed charges!

Just like l don't believe Julia Estrange, intentionally did something inappropriate with 2 women.

If you are high profile and spend some nights with enough women, it is only a matter of time before some, that are under some socialpaths thumb, that will go to court!

Well the timing of the trump-up charges and blocking Wikileaks accounts, etc.

Is it just a coincidence or do you have a "thing" for a certain actor? This is the second movie of his that you've used.

I do have a thing for this actor, but not as much a thing as I have for Johnny Depp.

You're completely wrong. First of all, Ernest Borgnine is an actor...so he isn't even real. And I checked, he was never in the Irish Navy (McHales's) with Tim Conway.
