How I used FB Ads to get a girlfriend!!!

So before i get started, just to get a couple of thing out of the way lol. I wasn't desperate at all, nor am I socially retarded, Im just full of BS when it comes to what i want lol!

So being a full-time marketer I had the Idea to use Facebook's ads platform to get my dream Girlfriend. I mean why just apply it to Business or Affiliate, CPA, product stuff when you can use it to better you own personal life right? lol

So i wrote up exactly what qualities, interest's, motivation this lucky girl had to have (IM was one of them hahaha, imagine the JV stuff we can attempt together), I created a landing page within FB tabs with a couple of pictures and a little bit about my self with a button linking to my personal profile. Created the Ad with all the In depth targeting based on what Qualities i wanted her to have. The Landing page (lol) content was connected to the targeting I chose.

So after about 30 clicks and 10 messages later (pretty good conversion rate hey, lol), about 4 replied in shock saying that we have allot in common haha, and 2 knew how I did it.

After a few days of talking I decided to take this one girl out on a date (shes into IM as well) and things sparked between us and we ended up dating for 2months or so, she was a bit demanding so I called it off lol..

I definitely know now that meeting someone is more of a spontaneous thing and something that is destined, not for us to manipulate. But really learned allot about this and actually helped a mate get a Job this way targeting his NOW Boss in a creative way

Anyway Just thought I'd share this with you guys

    Girlfriends and conversion rates in the same sentence. Yuck.

    Imagine telling your kids the story of how you met. Oh, she was a $5 CPC campaign son.

    Good that you used the skills for good though in getting your mate a job!

    • Exactly my thoughts. Not sure if this is a positive approach or a totally negative one, but if you are going to get a girlfriend the way you get a customer, then you better focus on building a damn good relationship with her and understand her lifetime value

      This model has been going forever in print, think of the old fashioned classifieds.

      He just used the technology to eliminate individuals that wouldn't suit him.

    Personally I wouldn't go that route because there is always a risk to be seen as desperate or crazy, plus all the possible negative comments from people you actually know on Facebook... Personally I care about that but for someone who don't, this is excellent example that FB marketing could be used for something more than making money online

  • Good Idea. But being a new fashioned guy I still believe in old fashioned way of getting a girl. Chase her everyday, wait hours outside her house just to see her. Asking with a hell full of nervousness if she would accept it or not etc.

    I've seen people with same interests always have different views on the same thing which end them up fighting.

    Cheap rant this is.

    People who buy newspapers on the streets and people who use Facebook are just one and the same thing.

    Singles place advertisements on the classified section of these newspapers all the time. I don't think it should be a big deal when someone does the same on Facebook.

    I don't mean to sound offensive to the OP, but this post is hilarious. Even pitiful. Like my wise uncle would put it, 'We all come off like intoxicated monkeys drunk after overfeeding on amarula berries' - we better sober up and get on with more productive affairs!

    Is meeting someone naturally really better? I tired dating sites but never any success because there's that awkward feeling at first to dig out of to start the relationship.

  • I'm a little embarrassed because I'm a serial dater... but I didn't mean to be lol. I'm 59, been widowed for four years... so back in Janauray, I signed up to an online dating site and thought that I could find the new love of my life within five dates. Ha ha ha!! This past Saturday, I dated woman #34 and I have woman #35 lined up for next week and several more that I'm talking to. I could write a book about my dating experiences. I've been stalked, confronted by jealeous ex's, dated women who were crazy (literally), were bi-polar, demanded a new house and car on the first date, lived in the gym, were seeing therapists, some were love starved and jumped on me the minute I met them... and I could go on and on lol. It would make for a pretty funny movie! I'm hoing to find someone sane by the time I reach woman #100.

    I am also a member of Law of Attraction forum. There I see many stories of people who try to use The Secret, the law of attraction to find their dream date. Most are sad stories of failures though....

    But using IM strategies for thing like this is truly a brainy way out!!

    Actually as a dating site owner I almost thought of doing the same thing. Never thought of using Facebook though, that must be really good for narrowing down your requirements.
