What are the Warrior rules on signatures?

Hi
I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I've been wondering about the rules on signatures in posts on the Warrior forums. I have seen instances where signatures have been removed and replaced by a message that advises affiliate links are not allowed in signatures. Yet I've seen plenty of instances where affiliate links appear in signatures without any problem.

Is there some special dispensation for some people on this issue? I find it all a bit confusing.

    Don't allow your contributions look like you're posting for link juice. You'll be treated like an SEO spammer, and your signature will be turn off, assuming they don't just ban you outright.

    Also, don't use affiliate template sites, even if they are on a domain you own. Blogs, reviews, etc are okay with affiliate links
    on them, but not the merchant-provided templates. There's nothing wrong with those on their own, mind you. It's a smart
    approach by both the affiliates and the merchants. They don't allow them because they've been abused and overused as a
    way around the "no affiliate links" rule.

    For those who don't know, that rule exists because too many people were posting tons of garbage in order to get exposure
    for their affiliate links. Not because they have any objections to affiliate programs, merchants, or affiliates.

    Ray,

    The sig rules are posted in the main rules thread at the top of Main Discussion.

    As far as sigs that break them, that's just because no mod has noticed them, and they haven't yet been reported.

    JohnBen summed up the concepts nicely, by the way.
