Good article, and a small part of it backs up what I told my readers a few weeks back . . . so naturally I think the writer is brilliant.

      Thanks Dennis!

It is a good article. Gives one a boost to read well-crafted, information relevant content. I think the key to future success with IM is to chart a smart course by following the signposts of others in regards to savvy cyber predictions. Gives one hope among all the gloom and doom out there. Part of a winning formula with any type of marketing is a positive mindset and good information helps to promote this.

    Yes, those days are over.

    That's a good thing, I think.
Oh man. Are you serious? People had AIR niches and I missed it? Damned. I'm always a day late and a dollar short at this stuff. I could have done Country, City, Used, Hydrated, Cold, Hot -- I've got all sorts of that stuff out here. Sigh. I need to get an advising projectionist. I am ALWAYS late. By the time I figure it out it's always already up in smoke......see? Just another type of air I could have sold. Smoky. crap.

David, right you are, and I'd take it a step further... A positive mindset is part of winning formula for most things in life.

I agree with this! But a touch of realism and a healthy instinctive approach to decision making and everyday living should counter the starry-eyed uber-positive crowd. Success in IM is very achievable I believe, the key being persistence in purpose, especially when business has slowed and work goals seem out of reach. Never, ever, ever, ever give up!, etc.

Also, anybody who thinks they can accurately predict all future Internet and marketing trends are fooling themselves! Think back even a decade ago, and see how the online universe has evolved, developed and grown in size. Staggering! 10 years from now?

A "positive mindset" can mean different things to different people. In my world it doesn't mean starry-eyed or uber-positive. It's more like believing in yourself, your abilities, and your will to succeed rather than wistfully dreaming or being blindly positive, which I'm assuming is the crowd you were referring to.

Ha ha, if it's not achievable I've been pulling off a pretty good trick for almost 17 years.
