Amazing Human Spirit - Everyday Hero
My mate Jake Ward just completed a massive 110KM (68 Miles) run for the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation yesterday!
He began his run at 5am, had half of it completed by 10am and then the hard slog began with hills, beaches, sun, heat and he ended up completing the run just after 11pm last night.
Jake wanted to do the run as his family has been involved in the NBCF for many years after having lost both a cousin and an aunt to the disease.
I can only imagine the pain he is in right now... I walked about 5-6KM with him along one of the beach stretches yesterday and I'm knackered today.
