I'm looking at how the doors seem to slide into the under-carriage and how low clearance is on cars. One good smack on anything and you might be driving with the whole side of your car open. Guess it takes someone who does a lot of 4Wheeling to really think about that, huh?

Get caught in a flash flood or accident and it might not be so convenient then either. Don't think I want a car like that for myself. On the other hand, marketers could probably sell big heavy hammers to blast through the glass if it ever becomes necessary.

I prefer the classical car doors... from all the things i see in a car that could be improved, the doors are at the bottom of my list. Those doors in the video look cool but i don't think they are that functional. They are automatic (not opened manually like the classic ones) so they are more prone to malfunction. plus they look worse for rainy weather, and if i have kids, i don't like the fact that when i open the door my kids in the back seat become exposed.

But hey, they do look cool!

I don't like automatic windows or door locks either - manual only. I do keep stuff I can use as as a window punch in reach at all times when I'm driving near water, too. Even Manual windows and doors can be a problem in water.

It looks rather fancy but, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This concept is interesting but how many cars will benefit from this technology? More and more strange things are presented at international motor shows but in everyday life are used the old technologies. However simple things will always be appreciated.
