I think that we will have a third world war in about 50 years time or 2060, and someone will develop warp drive, which will initiate first contact, blah, blah, blah!

Either that or a mad scientist tired of this holding back on revolutionary tech, that could help the poor in a substantial way BS, creates zero point energy systems at large scale.

And shows a reasonable portion of the worlds population, that these things are real, and the socialpaths of our day, are holding back on prosperity for all, because of the 100 trillion in oil buried in the ground!

But l might be wrong?

At worst the oil dependent social-paths will get a blood nose, and at best, word of mouth will wake the 6 billion to a new way of generating electricity!

Not the state controlled, prices are out of control, BS we currently have!

Ok, had my rant for the year! :p

But in all honesty the Mars one way mission, or rover that will go there in the next few years, will probably blow the lid on that coverup, and more should follow!

We should see the change ball starting to roll when this happens!

What we call "money" today is a relatively new thing. It's the byproduct of sentral banks and large government influence, and the thing that gives the money "value" is the promise that we can use it as payment. Other than that, "money" doesn't have any other value than the coin's scrap value. It's not that long ago we traded stuff with things that had real value like gold, silver, fish, meat, corn, etc.

First step is to turn off and destroy your computer.

The next step will come by email the next day.

Or you could go into safe mode and increase the chip clocking speed, it will be a write off for life!

Unless you pull the backup penlite battery out!

Imagine a world where a benevolent king would provide everything for people who fit into a system of giving and receiving where everyone was productive but yet did not have to concern themselves with money or their daily needs. It was all provided for the productive citizens of that kingdom.

Indeed. Mike Tyson would be a good fit to become leader of the planet earth. What do you think would be the best policies to follow beside abolishing money?

Indeed, I would not want to be the prime minister.

maybe he could be given a less important post like minister of education or minister of defense it would solve the problem of no means yes and yes means yes.

Arrrmmm, you can do it in XP. Just go into the BIOS, and increase the speed!

But a warning, when l did this the screen went blank and it was impossible to start!

After a lot of hassle l learned that l had to open up my PC and remove the backup watch battery for 10 seconds!

                  After that it worked again!

So, if you want to much around with it, be it on your own head, l won't be held responsible!

A lot easier to buy more RAM, etc!

Yeah, that is called BRICKING the device! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick_(electronics) PROBABLY because it becomes "so worthless you can use it only as a doorstop!", or rather it is only as good as a brick.

LUCKILY, those settings are, at least usually, in volatile memory, and that battery is to power the volatile memory and the time clock that runs to track time when the computer is off.

But WHO KNOWS? I remember when screen settings on the PC were permanent as made. NOW, they time them and, if not confirmed within a period of time, they are reset.

I hate to break it to you, but we are almost there already. The only ones who don't know are people who live here in the U.S.

The rest of the world is trying to figure out how to dump the dollar as the reserve currency without burning their own ass in the process.

Why? Because they know we are creating money out of nothing in exchange for real, hard commodities. People tend to get pissed when they realize they've been conned.

Who mentioned dollars? Russia, china, cuba, et al would NOT want this! HECK, some did it in russia and, from what I recall, it was a FELONY! They tried it in the US, and the US came up with a crazy way to tax it and created a bunch of laws. Governments want CONTROL and much of it is NOT for the country's protection or benefit!

It CAN be, and HAS been done, but the governments HATE it! Cities and laws are planned such that it is impractical now in MANY areas. I like the idea of a BENEVOLENT government that can do it. REALLY I do! Still, it is impractical with such a large country, and who is to say they won't be followed by a TYRANNICAL government.

BTW a just government that is generous, by its nature, would STILL have to demand SOMETHING! After all, thieves are stealing from them AND OTHERS!

I dunno - the mention of a centralized "king" ruined the vision for me. As long as there's people in charge of it all, sooner or later greed is going to cut the masses out of a good thing.
